www.meetup.com - Great site for ex-JWs...
by cognac inwell, i came across that site and thinks it's awesome!
i wish i had thought of the idea... anyways, i'd thought i would share it with you all because a lot of jws that have left the borg end up losing all there support system.
this site makes it so that you can meet up with other people at public locations with the same interests as you.

Send me your old blue-screening computer. I'll make use of it :)
It really blows me away how people will go out and buy a new computer because their 'old' one is blue screening. I've got dual boot (Windows & Linux) on my PC. Windows bluescreens within the hour on this machine. Linux is solid as a rock. I think my longest uptime was one month without a reboot. BTW, the only time I reboot is when I need to go into Windows for something, usually to put video on the hard drive (that's because I've been to lazy to figure out how to do it in Linux).
I don't miss Windows, and I'll be happy to completely eliminate it in the near future.

Or, was he just doing the loving thing of killing her. If she hadn't turned in her letter, then the "elder meeting" hadn't happened. So, she died as a faithful JW and will be ressurected in the New System.
Skeeter1, that's another interesting way of viewing it. I could definately see that going through his mind. After all, that's how JWs usually think.

Since the husband was a JW and his wife was the one 'leaving Jehovah', which one is demonized according to Watchtower belief? Was the wife demonized because she left Jehovah? Was the husband demonized for killing his demonized wife?
I would love to know what the JWs in that congregation think of the whole situation.
Pretty sad that she was killed for starting a new life :(

2009 Drama Synopsis and Comments
by jabberwock inthis year's drama was based on the parable of the prodigal son.
the theme was "your brother was dead and came to life".
as some have probably heard, it is a modern day story based on that parable, so there are no fancy costumes or fake beards.. .

What happened to real dramas? This sounds like a piece of crap. It's like a lecture from my mother wrapped up in a play. There's no fun in that, and does not make the convention worth attending.
The drama is the only attraction at the convention and they've ruined that too. When I was young, they had TWO dramas. Now they have a piece of crap stuck in the middle of other crap. What a yawnfest.

Topics for discussion with JWs - part 1: Why did Jehovah create dinosaurs?
by Albert Einstein inlets start topics for discussion with jws, such ones, that will make them feel very unconfortable..... my first turn:.
why did jehovah create dinosaurs?
jehovah is a god of love right?
-
Nosferatu
The explanation I got is that the people who reconstructed the skeletal remains of dinosaurs made mistakes by using bones from other animals. Therefore, there was only a few dinosaurs, but many of them didn't actually exist.

One of the Governing Body had a stroke yesterday
by AndersonsInfo inon may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.
he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.
-

Like many other stroke victims, I hope this one leaves him only with the ability to say one or two words. "Jehooovah" would be a good one.
Plus, if he cannot speak coherently, he will have no power in the GB.

by african GB Member insuppose they get involved in a car accident shortly after handing down a df judgement in a jc.
they don't die, but surprisingly they all loose their memory.
all jc records that they had on them are destroyed during the accident.. what happens to the poor fellow who is supposed to be announced "no longer one of jehovah's witnesses"?.

Dammit, I though this was gonna be a joke.
Three JC Elders are in a car crash and go to heaven. One was a window washer, one was a carpet cleaner, and one was living with his JW aunt. Jehovah asks the Window Washer....
...sorry, I don't know where this joke could go from here :(
