a couple of months ago, i wrote asking this forum for information about the episcopalians.

many of you answered and i was intrigued by your replies.

i was finally able to attend a service today and enjoyed it very much.

Because they've been CONDITIONED to believe it's true, you were a JW right, think back, repetition for empasis, what's that all about, how many times did you hear the same dribble over and over and over again at the Hall, and if that wasn't enough at gatherings. During Dinner after Dinner, before breakfast, before witnessing, after witnessing, when you go to the toilet, after you go to the toilet.

It's the conditioning.

the reason that i am a little afraid is that four out of my five grown children are still jws and if they knew that i was on here.....well nothing would change, would it, they don't speak to me now.

Paradise Lost

thinking back to my most earliest of memories, i remember the wonderment of life.

i can still smell the pugnent floral breezes and experience being mesmerized into hypnosis watching the white linen sheets dance to an unheard accompaniment on the clothes line.

mother seemed like a god to me the way she hung that laundry so effortlessly and happily.

In the hospital with Meningococcal....

this last week has been very freaky for me.

last saturday i went to bed feeling just fine.

i woke up sunday morning with a very high fever, chills, headache, sick to my stomach, and i couldn't really stand up.

Gee LD,

So glad you got to the hospital on time, Meningococcal, is in the news a lot lately, and I've seen ppl not get help on time and within hours have died, or had limbs amputated, this bacteria is deadly, and works so fast.

good morning to you all, .

so my only bit of post this morning is a letter from the elders, i've been doing battle with them for a few weeks over arrangements for a judicial committee.

well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on friday to finalise the matter!

My pleasure, I'm so glad you found the information useful, anything I can do to help get you a fair hearing (cough, cough).

Sad thing is if they have it in for someone, they always find a way around their own rules, and even if it's appealed, the other committee always takes the first committees side.

Take whomever you want along as a character witness, and shove their own rules at them when they cry foul..but stay cool, as the scripture says it's like pouring hot coals on their heads, when you play the game right..and a tape recorder is a good idea, but I would take a small one hidden and switched on, they are more prone to speak freely when they don't know they are being recorded I did that once with an elder 20 or so years ago, still have the tape...lol...and he doesn't have a clue!
