27I've joined the world of cat owners.
by WildHorses inmy sister has a friend who does animal rescue work and she had this one cat who is blind and deaf.
she had to keep the poor thing locked in a small bathroom in order to keep her safe from the other animals.. well, i felt sorry for her being locked in tha small space.
i only have trixie inside and she loves cats, so, i brought her home with me.

Did Being A Witness Screw You Up THAT Much???

a number of people feel that basically, not only was their life stolen from them because they were witnesses, but because of their being at one time jw's, they are screwed for the rest of their lives.

YES it screwed me up for yrs and i hope that slowly i am becoming my own person since i stopped going 10 yrs ago. while i was a witness, i did some things i wasnt proud of because while a witness it was the right thing to do....get that? it doesnt show you how to live a normal life, it shows you how to live the life they want you to ...i never knew any other way until i stopped going but that i had to figure out myself after living in limbo for 10 yrs

My brother

a few yrs ago my brother ended up in a prison for a minor offence - a low security type - and before this happened he hadnt been to the meetings for some time - .......well, low and behold while he was in there an elder from the congregation went there to have a study with someone and he saw my brother there....they went and saw him after he got out and wanted to see him about it but my brother said to them that he didnt want to talk to them about it and that was that...he never let them into his house either...................................................just thought i would mention it

thanks for the answer....i have never been a trouble maker but have been in front of the elders a couple of times and was put on private reproof once, so i am not bothered anyway. neither am i disfellowshipped - i did the fading out thing

Insight into Death ?
by Brummie inthis is not intended to be a morbid post but because of the nature of the topic i guess it is anyway!
have you ever heard of a long time terminally ill person who could live a few years more yet seem to know that they were going to die in the next couple of days?
my grandfather called my cousin into his room a few years ago and told her that his funeral was happening before his eyes, he could see it, he died that night.. anyway, back to the original ?, have you heard of similar things?

when my dear mother was in hospital she knew she was going to die soon and was saying things about going to heaven even though she had been a witness for many many yrs...the nurse told one of my sisters that people who are about to die often ask if it is ok for them to go....

the announcement section tells people how to write checks payable to "jehovah's witnesses" for donations - but...

Make room for it..................(NEW KINGDOM MINISTRY)
by integ inthere's an article in the new km called "make room for it".
the aricle espouses the benefits of remaining single in order to spend more time in the ministry, serve at bethel, etc.
the title though is more of a demand.
