  Trying to Send German Comedian to District Convention :-)))))

  well, stefan raab is a famous german singer and comedian, maybe comparable to tom green.

  he usually harasses big events and let the people there look a little stupid.

  he even it made to represent germany at the european song contest with a song that made no sense at all.

  Verses learnt by heart

  going out in the field service, we always talked about the same topics, so we only had to know a few verses by heart.

  what would you say were the most important verses to know by heart in order to defend our beliefs?

  Small introduction.

  this is a just a very brief posting (although i'm not sure if i'm making it in the right forum

  my background is like so many of yours i'm sure.

  just a brief run through of my life will be made, i don't have anything exceptional to say since my life is pretty plain in comparison to most people

  Funny people in your Congregation

  ok so who has got stories about funny people in your cong,.

  we had one guy who used to recite really long prayers, you would see people shifting from foot to foot as he recited extracts from the lords prayer in with his, he used to knock on doors and when they didnt answer shout through the letter box saying "i know your home" if they did actually come he would keep them talking for ages even after they said they werent interested.

  he even wrote to tony blair and told him how he would die at armageddon, the society recieved a letter of complaint and he got banned from pioneering.

  My Story

  ok so chevy asked me to put my story on here, a lot of you will probably find it boring but will post it anyway.

  am now 24 and live in kent, england with my boyfriend dean, we are really happy together in fact i have never been so happy and we plan to marry later on this year.

  i was brought up a jw from a baby by my mother, my father was never really bothered about it all and my mum fell away, divorced him and married another guy and then went back to the witnesses, he was not a witness and they met at my mums place of work, she was a dj for a local radio station and he was a chauffeur.

  SMURFS ?!

  can anyone tell me what was wrong with the smurfs ?.

  i heard some horrible rumours about them as a kid, something about some kid taking a smurf to the kingdom hall, it making a whole lotta noise and then trotting off up the aisle until some burley elder threw it out the back !.

  while we are on this point anyone ever have things taken away from them for being demonic etc

  Funny thing is, I just saw a pig fly past the window of this room.....................

  How funny is the link to the website above, I suggest you have a look ! there are some really funny stories out there and proves that whatever the society says people believe, hell I even believed stuff and remember telling people, now when I look back I feel so stupid !

  OMG how funny, wish I had thought of that one.

  Did anyone have a sister armageddon ? we had a west indian sister, she was brilliant, so lovely, shame she was a witness really, but she was late everywhere. It got to a point where we would put out invites to the whole cong for events but set her invite half hour to an hour earlier............and she would still be late !
