but i seldom listened to them while i was a full fledged brain dead witless.. kiss: knights in satans service - and all sorts of madness related to their acronym.. in 1977, i remember just as i started attending meetings, there was an assembly in moncton, new brunswick, canada.
the night before the assembly, kiss performed there.
I'm sorry Ray but, I was truly traumatized by KISS. My uncle had a poster of them in his room and I was terrified of it. Yes, it was the stupid belief that KISS stood for Knights In Satans Service. I didn't listen to any of their music until recently. Of course my favorite is Detroit Rock City.

i was just wondering if jury duty was considered taking part in the world.
i just found out that my mom had jury duty a few months ago and went!
i've never been a registered voter and thought you had to register to be called to jury duty.
My Mother served on a jury as an active dub and had no problem doing it. In Michigan they use drivers license records. After you renew your license you are especially prone to being called up. I've been called twice. The first time I was pregnant and sick but still managed to get selected for duty on a two week murder trial. The second time they settled out of court and I got to go back to work. I can see a dub trying to get exempted from serving on a murder trial but not on most cases. It's your civic duty.

I have an obligation to doubt and challenge them. It's my duty as a citizen. I do appreciate an outsiders opionion but, I get a bit irritated when they make it their mission to point out every deficiency. How would you feel if Blair and your government were constantly berated? It's a tad over the edge.

when you were out door knocking as kids, did the people who's doors you knocked on ever tell your parents that they shouldn't bring you out door knocking in the freezing cold, or did they ever ask you why you were out door knocking when you're so young?.
i remember both questions coming up fairly often since in england it is always winter, never forget the way this one old guy bent down and asked me why i was there and i gave the answer 'i'm here because i want to be' which was a total bold faced lie, but it was what we taught to say.. anyone else experience this?
Well, DH, I usually stood there frightened out of my tights. I mumbled something under my breath and held up the Watchtower and Awake magazines. I figured they spoke enough on their own. I didn't place too many but some people took pity on a little kid and took them.

My all time favorite is Fight Club. That movie is perfect in every way!
Luna, I liked Empire of the Sun too! It came out when I was still relatively young and it made a deep impression on me.
Breakfast at Tiffanys and Auntie Mame are two of the older movies that I enjoyed a lot.
