Currently the most read article on the BBC site. The top picture is Oxford circus station, I work near there and have to see the JWs every day, which is very annoying!
I thought Scott Terry's interview was good.

i pass them in london on a daily basis at one of mainline train stations in the city and the only people i've seen talking to them are lost tourists (looking for directions).

i will make this clear, i am not a christian (but i am a former jw).
i have noticed a trend among christians and something i wanted to discuss.
it is that those with the strongest faith, the deepest emotional connection to hope and swallow the stories of the bible the deepest.
This thread's a bit patronising eh?
i asked the below questions to 2 of my elders a few week ago ................................silence.
.
JWs use baptism as their initiation ritual, the doctrine is irrelevant. Their stance on baptism is very weak, for example there's no scripture that compares baptism to public dedication but that's the key element of baptism to a JW.
starts today!
now that england have slightly spoiled my world cup with their early failure, i am focusing a little more on the tennis.
i happen to live 15 minute walk from the wimbledon tennis courts so am completely caught up in the atmosphere, i will be joining the queue with a friend thursday night, camping out for the ticket queue early friday morning.
What a final! Shame Federer couldn't pull it off.
What I love about tennis is how the top players all seem such cool people. Rare in sport.
check it out and download before i am forced to take it down!.

Being a JW would have been much more enjoyable if this was more common, one of the things I don't like about the JW religion is the refusal to encourage their member's talents, this is a good thing.
As a side point I don't really get the comparison to pentecostals here? A bit of entertainment hardly makes them charismatics.
.
i'm really looking forward to what the day may bring...... wish you were here to share it with me..
Happy birthday Quelly! Hope it's amazing! :)

intact- is viagra for the guys.
funny how the far right evangelical owners of hobby lobby didn't want to touch that one.... read judge ginburg's scathing counter argument and opinion.. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf.

Could we get a summary for those of us without YouTube access?
i continue to be stunned by posters reporting on the convention, lamenting the convention, complaining about going in serve-us and meetings, and yet continuing to participate in these activities.. a simple question.
how long have you done these things, fully knowing it is absolute bullshit?.
i couldn't handle it for more than six months before i basically outed myself.
I sort of had 2 stages, the stage when I no longer believed it and the stage when I no longer wanted to be a part of it at all. I know these closely overlap for many people here but they didn't for me so much.
1 year from the first stage and 3 months from the second.
