Is it bad?
by Elsewhere in.
i remember when i was a jw how everyone was constantly wondering whether certain things were bad or demonic or generally unacceptable to a true christian(tm).. it seems like they are completely obsessed with things like that... like the luau that minimus brought up in another thread or the smurfs.. when you were a jw, what were some of the "critical" things that everyone was obsessed with?.

) and the usa does not "do" enough to help everyone else on earth, a short poll: .

I think loving and caring for your kids and being consistent is more important than smacking them, and I think That this whole article is completely wrong. I dont see the world as a bad place, sure bad things happen but I think most individuals are kind loving and caring. It is when people say leave it up to god he will save us, or look how bad everything is we NEED god to save us because no-one else can, that problems are caused.
If all the negative individuals would be positive and strive forward toward a better future, then that furture would be our reality. I believe in the power of one and in the power of mankind. Its up to YOU to make a difference, don't wait on god.

I have been an eight year old for just over a year now, just ask my husband!
I do things like lay in the goat shed on the fresh clean straw while the goat munches her dinner and day dream and tell her stories. I ride my horses bareback and bridleless and hang on for dear life when they canter and hope I dont fall off. I play games with the dog and walk in the mud with barefeet and swing on swings at the playground and sing and dance and be very silly sometimes. It makes life a lot more fun and pleasant for everyone around here than in my old serious have to behave myself days. Life is definately not meant to be serious.

Here is another one, now they are using numerology!
The Center of the Bible
The Center of the Bible
This is pretty strange or odd how it worked out this way.
Even if you are not religious you should read this.
What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 117
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 119
Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.
What is the center verse in the Bible?
Answer - Psalms 118:8
Does this verse say something significant about God's perfect will for our lives?
The next time someone says they would like to find God's perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!
Psalm 118:8 (NWT) --It is better to take refuge in Jehovah Than to trust in earthling man.
Now isn't that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)? -

Useful advise!

This is more from the same thread
quote:
As we approach the great tribulation, "the faithful and discreet slave" remains resolved not to compromise its obedience to the Master, Christ. This includes preparing timely spiritual food for God's household. So let us continue to appreciate Jehovah's wonderful theocratic organization and what it provides. In this way, we demonstrate our submission to Shiloh, who will reward all his obedient subjects with everlasting life.(bold and italics mine)
from the last paragraph (21) from this week's WT lesson: Cultivate Obedience As The End Draws NearAll hail the Organisation, as it is after all the faithfull and discrete slave right? What happened to the annointed?

Well, this thread has really lost its flow hasn't it? Im quite dissapointed really, it was so flowery and peacfull, a place to come and rest from the ravages and deceptions of the board.
Now its turned into a place of ruff and tumble for the hooligans!!!! What the hell is goin' on?
