I agree withe googlemagoogle. My family are fairly hardcore and none of them thinks that the WTBTS are suggesting 2034. Nor do their bethel or CO friends. My mother thinks it's this year.
If it were a common belief amongst the JWs, surely all the faders on the board that still attend meetings would be saying so. Any takers?

A question for Evil Force

if you would share that with us here that would be cool.

The constant rehash of some topics eventually takes its toll. Same subjects, different hotheads.

Does being a JW make a person physically sick?
by Gill indefinitely mentally and more than likely physically.. i have read on a few posts and freeminds about an increase of mental illness amoungst jws of between 2 and 40 % and it seems understandable considering the amount of stress being in the borg puts on people.. but what about physically?.
what are your experiences since leaving the borg?.
do you feel well and fitter than ever before?.

Ill health is also one of the few "legitimate" reasons for not going to meetings or preaching. Is the ill health among a lot of JWs psychosomatic?

Question for Christians and ex-JW: How is salvation attained?
by Check_Your_Premises ini am a rather newly minted christian.
i have been exposed to many different beliefs besides the jw, but i tend to take more of a "mere christianity" view of salvation.. here is a summary of that view.. i believe there is a god, evidenced by an innate natural law that most understand, aspire to, and expect from others.
laws require a lawgiver.

Hello YouraCatholic
This site is predominantly ex or anti JW. You're singing to the choir (well, half of it).

A question for my UK cousins: What are the different British accents?
by Check_Your_Premises insince i have so many brits and uk types in one place, i was wondering if you all could classify or tell me the names of the different british accents.
i think most in the states could be grouped by region and then each region divided into regular folks and folks with cash.
for instance in thestates, you basically have north east which is can be characterized by your classic new york or boston accents.

You mean Spud? They should have all had Edinburgh accents and while there was some evidence of it, they weren't too precise. The Mother Superior (drug dealer) had a Glaswegian accent, as did Begbie and Renton's girlfriend.
You may like to know that Trainspotting is set in the territory of my old congregation and yes it is a drug and aids addled community.
