Why is it that in the GB there are mostly men of German descent?

or maybe some are austrian?.

im not trying to offend any german people that may be on this board and if i did i apologize because that was not my intent.

but i do think that some do have a need to be in control.

azaria..............good point. my husbad and i have often thought about that. we live in australia (a multi-cultural country like the usa) and have noticed that alot of the top dogs in the borg here are of german descent. white sth africans of dutch or german background too.

my family, and myself particularly, have been on the receiving end of german/sth african elders' wrath, jc, and discipline. to me it felt like the closest thing to a nazi interogation and if they had the power to exterminate me, they would have.

to answer your question i would say.................................

look at how the borg is run
look at who's running it
look at history, particularly WWll
and wonder if adolf's dna was kept for future cloning
AND THEN PANIC

i personally like all people in general, (i'm from europe myself and my background is probably connected to germans/austrians), and i hate racism because in australia in the early 60s it was aproblem and i had to live with it.

but there is something true that every race havs strengths and weaknesses. i think germans are very good at being obedient to their rulers and follow rules and laws in a way that is almost robotic. look at WWll.......strength?????????

german jws, especially if they are in a position of power, can be extreme and harsh. i would even say cruel. but that is purely my own personal observation and experience. i know of some really tyranical elders of other races, and i know of some very nice german jws too, but as far as german rulers............................mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. a bit too scarey.

mmmmmmmmmmmm, thought-provoking question ozzie. thank goodness for those wts publications, we wouldn't have anything to contemplate otherwise. LOL.

well ozzie, for me god has always been difficult to describe. as a catholic and then as a witness, god never altered in my impression of him. he has just always been real to me, a creator, a strength, a hope, a mystery to some extent, loving, kind and yet stern..............all in all, he's always been in my mind and i've always lived my life believing he cares and has a purpose. i've always wanted him in my life somehow, guess that's why i let the borg run my life for a while. now i'm out of the borg but god has not changed in my mind (how i think of him), and in my heart (how i feel about him). i don't find him easy to imagine, in a visual sense, but i have no trouble believing in him . a bit like a pregnant woman, she can't see the baby yet knows it's there and loves it.

so that's it ozzie. careful with those wts publications though..............wouldn't want you going over to the dark side again..............LOL

love to mrs ozzie too. loving the books and tapes. oh, and the shiraz just keeps getting better.

my son's birthday celebrated

just a short post to say that i feel really happy today.

my 19 yo son has had his birthday acknowledged and celebrated today for the first time in 13 years.. and it feels good for me as his mother to remind him every year, on the day he came into the world, that i consider from that day on, the best days of my life.

i cried as i wrote his card, thinking of all the wasted time in the borg, but now is the time to move on and start enjoying freedom.. so i just wanted to share this with people who i'm sure understand and share in the joy.. cheers,.

i came in when i left my alcoholic husband and confused the peace from that with thinking the peace was from being with god's people.

as the years went by i noticed sooooooooooo much hypocracy, self-righteousness, judging, and lack of love. but in that time i met my 2nd husband and again it felt like i was being blessed by god.

then all, hell broke loose. my child was sexually abused by a jw and eventually, after much verbal and emotional abuse by the elders and prominent congregation members, i got df'ed. why???????? (false) slander charges to shut me up to protect the reputation of the pedo and his family.

i got reinstated, believing that what happened was a one off and that this kind of situation was rare, after all, god was directing this organisation. then, after panorama, dateline and the sunday show, i realised that the wts was involved in many sexual abuse cover-ups.

so i am out because there is corruption in the borg.

i'm also out because my husband knew there were many wrong prophecies and started looking and researching. he then helped me to see on the internet many things that the wts doesn't want anyone to see. he showed me the silent lambs site and i found out about the un scandal. so with much trust and patience on his part he helped me to start thinking for myself.

he is a blessing, our love and marriage is a blessing and finding freedom and the truth about the borg is a blessing. having my family united and celebrating my kids birthdays is a blessing. finding old xjws on this forum is a blessing.

Weekend shot to hell by a simple knock on door

They Finally Did It

my parents have finally disowned me.. my dad called yesturday and told me to get the "dogs of my mothers back" about my upcoming wedding.. i told him that i havent put anyone on mum's back and if they are saying it, its because they want to and don't agree with what he and mum are doing.

i said that mum can speak for herself and he said that she and will and the next time you speak to your mother she will tell you that we dont want to ever speak to or see you again...".

at this point in the conversation i hung up the phone in his ear.

My Story

she wrote the following essay over the weekend after we had a talk with her about the circumstances surrounding her grandfather's death.

Jennie....................you are a brave and honest girl. My little girl lost her dad to suicide too, that was a long time ago. She is now 17 but she still thinks about him every day.

You'll always remember your grandad too and that will at times make you sad but also happy.

Keep your mum and dad close to you and never let the anger you may feel about suicide take away your joy.
