Only a few days ago you could only yearn to be of my status level and now you're there. When there's a will, there's a way. I'm so happy for you. Keep it up and you'll move quickly up the ladder.

I really don't want to sound rude...again...but...
If you knew how much time, practice and energy a musician or artist has to put into his trade, you would pay for the rights to use their music.
File sharing is just another form of theft.
Please pay for the rights. Think about it, life without music would be damn boring, so contribute financially to this continuous flow of creativity that you enjoy so much. Most musicians hold daytime jobs while working on their music. They do it out of love for music, so if you love music give back.
If you disagree, well in that case, why don't you come work for me without renumeration for a while, I'd really love to have you around.

The lumping issue is a little hard for me to grasp.
What am I supposed to do? Take a poll to see who agrees with my opinion or not?
Example: Let's say I want to say...."The French are a bunch of wuss"....In my first post I would state that this is what I want to say...then ask...who agrees or not with this statement . Then I wait for the responses and after that post, "The French are a bunch of wuss"....sos and sos agree with this and sos and sos disagree. Doesn't make sense. But still that's what you're implying I should do.
Geez, at the last election, and were talking government here, the US wasn't even able to get that straight. We still don't know who really won the election, you don't even know yourself who the majority wanted as president.
Let me ask you a question then. And try not to lump. Who was first to oppose this war?
i thought he was a real character!
he may have killed himself but i was hoping that he survived.
i don't think he is on the us card deck.
He definitely added to the show....lol
He should be nominated for an acadamy award.
Which category?

Another side note....I'm sure and I hope that some Europeans will comment on the denigrating comments about them in the article....lol.
Ahhh, the freedom of speech, satisfying ain't it.

Oh no, watch it...here we go again....LOL
Another thread doomed to be damned.....
Francois, someone had to show some grit and teeth.....glad you did...
For America has been reminded that Britain is the best friend it has in the world, joined by blood, language, history, instinct and culture.
That's what I've been saying all along. Actually, the British, Americans, Australia (english) and Canada (english)(and I'm sure I forget some) are family, they are of the same bloodline, so it's only normal that they remain allies and fight together.
This war has further riffed the world though.
One of the problems facing the English is this; their financial culture. The English need to sell their products. That's what they're known for, their money savvy. Even more so today, since a lot of their products are being manufactured and assembled by other races (I don't know how much, so please don't quote me on this). They can't afford to alieniate these countries.
They can't afford either to have their products boycotted by the purchasing countries, which I'm sure the Europeans are part of.
So you see, and as the article states, if they wish to keep their military motor going, in order to protect others (or refrain from doing so) they cannot separate themselves too much from the rest of the world, otherwise their cash flow will suffer, along with their funding of their military.
They can't be too quick in shutting themselves out because of misplaced arrogance. They need as much other peoples money as the others need their military force for protection.
Simon had a point when he said that others also died facing Hitler. But I will say this, it is true that the English and Americans are the powers that set the nails in Hitler's tomb. Can't deny that. But are we supposed to just let you guys roam free, and never object. That would be somewhat anti-democratic. Some still, and will always believe this war was unnecessary, regardless of your arguments in freeing and ridding the world of WMD.
As far as the conspiracy theories backing the 9/11 attacks, well, we'll probably never know the truth, but I will always consider the posibility, cause we live in a corrupt world. I do have to bring up a comment you made not too long ago, I didn't comment then, but will mention it now.
Please, this is just a little humourous side note. You said..."Conspiracy theories, there's one behind every bush"....or "Bush" I thought then....lol
I think that as much as the US will try to get back at those diverging in opinions with them, others will desperately try to detach themselves from the US, especially in the financial realm. Which might hurt the US more than they expect in the long run.
aside from being interrogated at your jc meeting, what was your worst experience while being a jw?.
i have two bad experiences, both similar, in that they dealt with the unjust no blood rule.
i was present while a very close friend of mine died from not taking blood while he was suffering from a burst pancreas.
"What makes you think Jehovah hears your prayers?"
"What makes you think Jehovah hears your prayers?" , that's what I would ask them.
Sitting in God's judgement seat....lol.
Worst of it all, the majority of religious leaders assume they know it all. I enjoy tearing their little world apart whenever I get a chance.
Warped and pretentious pharisees, that's what they are.
Maybe I'm bad, but at least I admit it to myself and others.
i was just thinking about some information i read on a animal rights website (peta.org) and decided i would get your feedback since you seem like a fair crowd.. do you think the majority of people in the u.s or in industrialized nations know about the horrible conditions that animals face everyday under the context of food production?
do you believe that if the conditions that animals faced were exposed on the tv screen as much as say long distance telephone service there would be as much consumption of animal products?
if you are a meet eater, ( i honestly don't mean to belittle you in anyway) why do you eat meat if you are aware that it's production causes extreme pain to other living things?
Funny this subject is brought up today. I am totally pissed and I'll tell you why.
Last fall, a family from Florida moved in our area (northern Maine). They rented a house and had a bunch of animals all over the place; chickens, a goat, sheep, horse...the whole nine yards. These guys were christians, pentecostal I presume. He even came knocking on my door to preach with his daughter.
We've had a particular hard winter...cold as hell...and it lasted and lasted.....
I met him in february at the grocery store and asked him how he was doing, and I inquired about the animals he had, he said they were fine. I don't think he knew, coming from Florida, how cold it can get here.
This morning I find out, the guy skipped town and left all the animals in the house. They died of hunger and froze to death. I really can't believe it. But I'll tell ya, it doesn't stand right by me, and he's not through with me either. I'm gonna track this idiot down and I'll have him prosecuted that's for damn sure.
When I look at the world, I believe something has to change. Humans have a choice but animals don't. And sometimes I think, if God really exists, the animal kingdom could really benefit from his kingdom and to be freed from the tyrant human race.
I love animals, they are great companions especially when you treat them right.
