What's your take on morality?
by Narkissos inas former jws we were part of a highly moralising religion.
we have experienced the disastrous consequences of it in terms of hypocrisy, judgementalism or pathologic guilt.
most of us have changed our "moral parameters" drastically, but how far have we gone in questioning morality itself?.

Soft drink damage
by MegaDude ini was in a deposition today and one of the parties told us about her friend who was a heavy user of soft drinks.
for years she drank around five to seven a day.
she had been having bone pain and went to the doctor and was told "your bones have the consistency of lace.

Mega: I agree, most people have no idea how damaging tonic can be. I do like Dr. Pepper and drink maybe one a month if that. We are trying to keep tonic away from our grandbaby. The only one that drinks much in our family is our son the Marine but he is even cutting down.

Tough day -- my mom died today
by cruzanheart inpoor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.

Hmmm what do I think...I watched a kid walk on campus the other day I swear he had his belt around his thighs and I got to see his boxers and everything. Do I think we need have the police fining him...hell, he looked stupid. Everyone was looking at him like "how the hell you walk like that." This is a trend, it will go along with the tube tops of my time.

thunder and i are stil in school and been busy with the grandbaby.
our son is doing great (he turned 20 today) and our daughter is doing great too (she turned 22 in nov) i will post some pics of our book signing coming up the 13. otherwise just wanted to say hi
