I remember many years ago having it leveled against me out in FS that we worship men. I remember proudly saying well I don't know how we could as I don't even know who they are. I must emphasise too, that I was proud of this fact. My my, how times have changed with the dieing of the old guard. -

For God So Loves the Western World...
by Tempest in a Teacup in...that only people from those countries can lead 'his organization'.. a few years ago, one conversation stopper people would often bring up to jws in my country is: 'you guys are an american religion'.
the standard answer we were formatted to give to shoot that down was that "god does not favor any nationality over others.
however some countries do possess some advantages needed for the advancement of the divine work.

I have heard a lot of the top jobs in the Bethels in these developing countries are also run by American imports. I know in 1 south east asian country the job is handled by an American. Probably because they don't trust the locals. -

What person/persons/group is behind the rebranding of Jehovahs Witnesses
by truthseeker inwith the jw rebranding program in full swing, who do you think is behind all this?
i'm not certain the governing body came up with these ideas.
at least not the old guard which died off around 2009.. given the fairly recent articles in the kingdom ministry and watchtower about the dangers of the internet and having the latest gadget, this rebranding effort can't have been in the works for much more than three years.. the makeover is slick...very slick...and very clever.

I believe GB.02 have to get more busy on the net. The battle ground isn't been fought on people's door steps it's been fought in cyber space. They have to free things up for the R&F allowing them to set up individual web sights. Encouraging preaching on net. There is just toooo much bad stuff out there and they need to drown it out. -

There are a number of things that stand out to me here. What you have to bear in mind is that although there is a lot of pressure for conformity there are also different levels of belief. Just as there are people who say they are catholic but have never stepped foot in a Catholic Church, and other Catholics who never miss mass. For instance were these fully fledged members, of perhaps interested people who attended the KH and used the TJ title Because this can make a hugh difference to what you can get away with. Hence everyone saying not to get baptized because that just takes everything to a whole new level. What makes me think your GF and in laws may be more loosely associated is. Firstly to have a wordly BF come and stay in there house would of been a massive no no if the farther had responsibility in the cong. Even the fact the daughter had a wordly BF would of been enough for elders visits. Well this never would of happened with JWisim in the USA. -

I also believe that it was the way I composed and worded the document made it clear that I was not and had no intentions of being any threat to the organisation. The important thing is that we must act on the dictate of our conscience to enjoy peace of mind and happiness in life.
Wow how different that is to the stories I heard. I'm glad after many years that I have had the record set straight. This is what I heard.
When you returned to Australia you were disfellowshiped for apostacy. You were now angry and bitter, and had tried to sue the society for loss of earnings. But you lost in court. I remember once years ago looking on the net trying to substantiate this but found nothing. You and you wife had separated. I had no idea you were living in NZ.

Wow oh wow Joe I never knew that about the bible. Seems odd how they'll treat you if you disagree with a bunch of men, and yet disagree with the bible and "hey no problem".
i have fond memories of you joe. I can still see you up on the stage how you used to have those reading glasses on the end of your nose and every now and again you would peer over them to look at the audience. I also remember making samwidges along with your wife and Alice Kramer.
There certainly have been a lot of rumours about you over the years, and it's nice to know that the rumour of you and your wife separating is completely false. So your living in the N of Z now. Some how I got the impression you had returned to Australia and that is where you were disfellowshiped. Obviously another false rumor as well. I would be guessing that you'll be getting inundated with emails at the moment from people from your past. It was refreshing to see your postings.

Word on the street is they got $US43.2 million when they sold that bethel in New Zealand. 2 of the 3 couples of the full time staff that had been there for many years were put out on the street, with no assistance at all. Sort of seems a bit rude how they made obscene amounts of money and could of even helped those 2 couples. -

It must be of concern to the GB with all the information that is been leaked now
by joe134cd ini was just watching cedars prank call to tomo3.
by the way lloyd very well done and totally funny.
but on a more serious note (and i think what must be of concern to the gb) are the amount of leaks that must be occurring at a senior level or at least by a person who has access to sensitive information.

I was just watching Cedars prank call to ToMo3. By the way Lloyd very well done and totally funny. But on a more serious note (and I think what must be of concern to the GB) are the amount of leaks that must be occurring at a senior level or at least by a person who has access to sensitive information. Another example that comes to mind is the elders school video dealing on suicide. It would of only been CO/DO who would of had hard copies to that information. So somewhere someone has felt disgruntled enough (or have reason enough) to have leaked it. Seriously (and this was something I totally underestimated) It wasn't until I started visiting apostate Web sites, that I began to realize just how slowly information travels in the Org. God my family is only just telling me now stuff I knew weeks ago. -

Relief Efforts for Typhoon in Manila (Philippines)
by StephaneLaliberte ini find articles like this (click very frustrating to read.
when i read reports on how charity was delivered, i am expecting to read numbers that will give me an idea of how money was used for such relief.
unfortunately, the information provided is simply not enough to provide any ball park idea of what was actually spent.

And to top it all off after the repair work was done in the U.S disaster areas they (in not so many words) were turning around and guiltily the home owner to turn over the insurance check. I'm not here saying that the home owner should of expected the work for free, but I also think that unless Wt was going to help the poorest of poor who really could not afford the work, then Wt should of never got involved
