  I think they can..My best friend is a female..Of course everyone thinks we sleep together...because lord knows ya cant be close to a woman w/o sleeping with her..The sexual thing well she knows I am a man and a hornball..but she is too...But we have never had sex...we talk, flirt,and discuss anything ..its nice to see what the other side thinks...It is fun to see her get jealouse when a woman flirts with me though....lol..

  Aight now let see where to start ok ,age 16 is irrelevant they wouldnt know that and a 16 year is old enough to know a badge means for them to listen and not fight them..Presonnel bodily harm..Squeezing a mans nuts is bodily harm...

  Holding a person on the hood of a car is irrelevant to body slamming and punching them.

  Punching them yes is irrelevant slamming them....Tell ya what try it and then talk to me about it...a limp body is one of the hardest things to hold up its dead weight..

  You limit them to NOT PUNCHING PEOPLE IN THE FACE.

  So let me get this straight now..an officer is not supposed to hit a person in the face either..Is this for fear of killing that person or ??

  I am willing to say that him punching the kid was a bad judgement call on his part..but buy human nature someone grabs ya ya will hit them...But the way I understand you is that officers should treat everyone with kids gloves..What is your idea of reasonable force then?

  in case y'all missed it, not too long ago there was a super-long thread regarding a piece of cloth with certain colors on it.

  by the end of that thread, a new friendship was forged in the fires of jwd debate.. now i've watched my new friend, someone who i've become very close to and care about a whole lot, walk away from this place with tears in her beautiful brown eyes.

  to be honest, i've thought about leaving this board myself.. but i'm not gonna do that.

  I've wasted plenty of hours watching "COPS" and have never seen any of them slam someone like this police officer did.

  ya should seen the one today then..I even thought the officer went overboard on his handling of the criminal..

  remmeber he had his legs limp to so whats to hold him up??

  Holding someone up is a little different then body slamming them.

  Try it then...have someone do a lil demo with ya...ya lay person against a car they will slide off..if ya dont use force to hold them there from the start...and slamming them on the trunk well wouldn't that just knock the wind outta ya and make ya wanna stop resistain?

  Because he punched him he should be fired from his lively hood?..

  When his livelyhood requires him to NOT punch people, then YES, he should be fired.

  No his lively hood requires him to protect and serve..His job requires the willingness to die in the line of duty for anyone...and if you resist and harm him human nature sometimes kicks in and you react..That wasn't his best day am sure..he was on the force 3 years and now he is out because of that?..1 supposed mistake...Thats absurd ...

  You must not realize how ridiculous that sounds. Do you not realize the importance of limiting the authority of those we put into authority? Leniency for those who go beyond their given authority will only result in the problem growing further. Soon a cop could just punch someone for not liking what he says to him (just like the "good ole days.")

  What the??? I am believeing I took the wrong turn am I still on earth??What are ya gonna limit??If someone resist ya just let them go?...I am just quessing you probably do not believe in police chases either..

  Redneck - this was your statement "If ya resist arrest and ya get stomped on in the process..well ya knew it would probably happen..." which seems to ok police brutality against those resisting arrest (even if it's passive resistance).

  How you come to that conclusion from that I don't know...Lets see resisting arrest even if its passive resistance is resistance PERIOD..That is a crime..I never stated police brutality wasn't a crime or shouldn't be punished..But a man losing his livelyhood because he punched him?? Just because he is a cop? Is that right ...NO...

  That is definitely time for the officer to either calm down or walk away, and while I don't expect an officer to be super human, I certainly expect them to learn to contain their anger within a reasonable amount of time.

  Have you been ina situation such as that?...Whats reasonable to you??Oh grabem again Its ok cause ya were passivally resistene me..Until ya been in a situation like this you dont know whats reasonable..

  Another important fact that hasn't been mentioned so far is that the teen has a learning disability that makes it difficult for him to understand and follow instructions.

  That if it is true is something they wouldn't have known till after the fact...and still doesn't matter..The officers don't know him don't know whats on his mind..all they know is this guys is refusing LAWFULL orders and he didn' comply he resisted..So they reacted for there safty and the publics...Just because he was punched in the head by the officer doesn't seem reasonable to end a mans carreer...and I am sorry but no matter how fair a think the union is for the police..its politics..They dont want more riots or protesting thats to me is the biggest reason for firing him...It was on tape and gavem a black eye...

  It was not a matter of picking a limp body up onto the bag of the car, he was unnecessarily SLAMMED onto the car.

  Like I asked before...ya ever picked up a limp body and tryed to throw it on a car or whatever?..Its not so easy..Try it...because as soon as ya release pressure or put it against something if ya dont hold it there with force it will slide right back down...remmeber he had his legs limp to so whats to hold him up??

  He is obviously in capable of handling volatile situations like this and I believe he deserved to be fired and deserves to be prosecuted the same as anyone else.

  Because he punched him he should be fired from his lively hood?..Take away a guys life his means of living because he punched someone who was resisting arrest?..If you are being arrestted and decide to use risistance and ya get knocked around that is your fault..Not the cops...U chose to break the law..So ya get what ya get...if he would have obeyed the officers and done as he was told he would not have been resisting arrest he would not have been cuffed and he would not have been slammed against a car..so this situation was brought on by the fact that he didn't obey the lawfull commands of the officers there..

  have ya ever had ya balls tapped by someone when ya not expecting it..It hurts like a sumbitch..and like I said he wouldn't have tapped his balls if he wasn't resisting arrest..

  whats the ol saying cant do the time dont do the crime..

  Thank God most officers don't feel that way, or anyone who they felt was not jumping as high as they wanted would be in for a beating.

  Have ya ever lifted a person going limp like that?..Its not a trick Q..I have a person that is flaccid will not stay on the back of a car without being held down..If not done qiuckly they will be right back on the ground...

  passive resistance .. That is still resistance..It is non cooperation..period..That is called resisting arrest..Who said minor offenses?? Resisting the authority that is in place to protect citezens..Wrestling with the officers is a big thing..they dont know whats in his mind or what he is going to do..

  Think that comments a lil silly myself..Have you had to deal with people in such situations before??..The officer is human...Ya making like they have to be robots without emotions..You dont live and deal with the scum of the earth that they do everyday because they do it ... I alwasy find it funny that everytime a police video comes out that a cop beat someone they never film what started it or the escalation upto it...just the officer doing something...
