The reason it is different is that if a 14 year old boy ends up with his 23 year old teacher it makes him feel more confident, more of a man and could likely give him the drive to end up in the White House.
For a 14 year old girl to end up with a 23 year old teacher I think she is more likely to end up damaged emotionally.
(And in that school I'm guessing this teacher is now thought of as "Best Teacher Ever!" by all the boys.

I served on one case in which a brother molested his younger sister.
I know of another in which a sister was molested by an elder.
I know of another case in which a brother was molested by a cong member / neighbor.
I know of another accusation which I have to say I have doubts about, but kept them private.
(little bells are going off in my mind of some more, but I can't recall the details)

he gave me the booklet, "keep on the watch.
" according to him, the speaker who introduced the booklet talked about the people who were stumbled because of the change in understanding regarding "this generation.

I would say, you mean the way he had Moses, Paul or Jesus lie to see who would leave? How would that refine or sift people? Doesn't it really sound more like a false prediction?
i'd really like to know if the wts has ever been correct ... in all honesty.
i don't mean subjective, fuzzy dogma that has no empirical basis ... i mean stuff like 1914 and the original idea that it would be end of the world; millions now living will never die; 1975; the generation will not pass away ... ad infinitum.

in all the years i went door to door as a jw, i never once had a study who went all the way to baptism.
in the thirty years i've know my wife -- who has been a jw all this time -- she has never made a single convert from going door to door either.
is this true of others on this forum?
