i recall while i was just a new jw how horrified i was at the "brother" who was bringing me along.... when he told me that he was so sure about the governing body being jehovah's mouth piece, that if one day they announced--this is it, this is the end, kill any and all non-jws in your path....he would do it.
I knew in my heart I would never sacrifice my child over the blood issue.
I guess I figured if it really was wrong it would be me that paid the price not my children.
So this way I had it both ways - they would be alive now and would be in the future - both ways I win.

as much as i dreaded going to all the meetings there were things that i did enjoy.. 1. no special parking spaces for the elders, etc.. 2. no collections plate going around the room.
3. no one person giving the talk every single week (can you imagine the same speaker 3 to 4 times a week, every day?
Several that we regularly sat with would come up with great add libs to the drawings in the WT and quote balloons. Gosh we would laugh.

There is this one family that are such hypocrites and yet answer literally on every other question. We had an entire series of stunts to make fun of them
and
I would often pull the cord while roving so you would have to hold the mic with both of your hands
and
when i was the reader I would show my socks - which would purposely have holes or be mismatched etc
and
when I was running the sound I would have a good angle to make faces and show notes to get you laughing
so yesterday i had such bad migraine (with all of its accompanying symptoms...) that i ended up at er for narcotics and re-hydration.
this was after excruciating pain for 7-8 hours thinking "just a little more time and it'll easy up.
" wrong.. anyways, they grogged me up with atavan, thorazine and one other i can't recall... and i'm still pretty unsteady on my feet today.
I get migraines and can totally sympathize, but no info on MJ for them.
A fellow I work with has had cluster headaches for years. And finally has gotten some relief using mushrooms. He?s very careful about it, but it has given him a life again.

i wonder how many readers of the watchtower have noticed the seeming inconsistency of the 144,000 teaching in the april 1st issue?.
after discussing the symbolic nature of the numbers 666 on the wild beast comes this statement:.
"immediately after disclosing the number 666, revelation mentions 144,000 followers of the lamb, jesus christ, who have his name and the name of his father, jehovah, written on their foreheads.".
The 666 *is* a "mark"
and
the 144,000 all *have* the "mark" of their Father.
666 = apples
144,000 = oranges
*** This does not mean I agree with number 144,000 being literal or not, but in the context of the argument presented on the WT, April 1st they are referring to the "marks" being symbolic and not literal
just another adventure in my returning to the work force.

i could completely identify with anita hill.. one evening last week, i was in our break room with one young female associate and two young male associates.

they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

what always blew my mind was that whenever an article in the watchtower, awake, or any wt publication is when someone refers to a part of the publication and says, "there's a really good article in here about bla bla bla".
i've heard many jws use it at the doors, use it at the kingdom hall, etc.
my question is, when is there ever a bad article?
