Shunning/Going To Meetings Question
by reubenfine ini was never df'd or da'd.
i am curious if you ever were and were reinstated, what was it like to be shunned and treated as a non-person while sitting in the rear of the hall?
i can only imagine it to be the utmost humiliation on top of a public disfellowshipping and can't imagine having to go through it.

Warm and fuzzy
by outbackaussie intoday i was blessed with the joy of having a person ring me to see how i was doing....purely because i hadn't been posting and they were worried about me.
kelpie, that was just the nicest thing and i spent the rest of the day feeling fantastic.
yep our very own kelps took the time to look up my listed number and give me a call :) it was great to talk to a net buddy and hear her voice (and it is a very sweet voice indeed) and i just wish i'd had more time to chat.

Associate with DA ~ outbackaussie
by Vivamus inoutbackaussie, you wrote this:that is so right, pettygrudger, i remember those feelings of pain when a friend was da'd.
i was devastated at the thought she was "lost".
when the rules changed and you could talk to da'd people, i went and visited her, she had moved on from her wt life but it was good to talk to her.

Something I found useful
by outbackaussie inwhen i was mostly recovered from being a jw i found i was pretty angry and following from that, wanted to "save" my family that were still in.
i have a wonderful husband who is eminently logical and thoughtful, somewhat the opposite of me.
we used to have lengthy discussions about family and responsibility and suchlike.

The proper time
by Gig inon saturday i had a full on, hate to say it, arguement with my jw friend.
i'm ashamed to say i lost patience and said many things i have previously avoided - knowing it would be too much for them, especially so much at once.. anyway, i know they went to sunday's meeting, so who's food was at the proper time?
mine or theirs?
