  Evolution is a Fact #26 - Colour Vision

  each little flower that opens,each little bird that sings,he made their glowing colours,he made their tiny wings.. all of us have been moved by the riot of colours in a spring meadow, the majesty of a sunset or the beauty of a bird in breeding plumage.

  what greater evidence could there be of a loving creator than our colourful world and the human eye that is equipped to appreciate it?.

  this is the sort of simplistic argument that convinces a lot of creationists about their beliefs.. it's time to "unweave the rainbow".. light is detected by a proteins called opsins.

  Following the sudden demise of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago our ancestors began to thrive. Lots of vacant niches were available to be exploited including the opportunity to feed in daylight.

  It amazes me how people can look at their watch and state with such certainty that this or that happened 65 million years ago give or take a few trillion years..
  
  People can not even remember their own childhoods accurately yet they want you to believe and base your reality on what they say happened 65 million years ago?

  Let's be honest it all sounds very clever and precise but the truth is no one really has a clue and are just wildly stabbing in the dark.

  THOUGHTS ON UPGRADING TO (Free) WINDOWS 10

  i've been using windows 7 for several years and have had no complaints.. i've tried many browsers and settled on google chrome.

  it has absolutely everything i want or need.. i kept hearing about the free upgrade to windows 10, so i went to youtube and watched endless "reviews" pro and con.. what pushed me over the (microsoft edge) was the fact i could test drive the new operating system.

  for 30 days and go back to windows 7 if i didn't like it!

  Yes I did say something similar in another thread of yours because you did exactly the same thing there too. You ask a question pretending that it's an open discussion. Then you proceed to invalidate everyone's view, opinion or experience and then present your own to be the absolute and perfect truth on the matter. That's what JW's do at the door and in all their talks.. start with a question when they only real intention is to preach from their very closed and rigidly fixed pre-set perspective and as such it's really a complete waste of time to try to have any real conversation or attempt to impart anything to such people.

  Love and hate are very strong words.

  Do you still believe in God?

  i never thought i would admit it, but i don't.

  i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.

  as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

  I think I have removed the word belief entirely from my life. I try to go these days by what I have actually experienced.

  It might be more useful and more accurate to ask people of they think they have actually experienced God as belief by itself is quite useless to anyone.

  Lol..this makes me laugh.. no matter what Terry asks, on any subject, no matter what, he always absolutely, right, in everything, forever..

  Even when he asks your opinion or experience on anything.. he's always absolutely right about that too.. in everything, forever. Need know what you feel? Ask Terry. Need to know what you know? Ask Terry.

  Reminds me of God's conversation with Job.. pretending to ask questions when in fact God was right about everything all the time.

  A fresh start

  after the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.

  i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.

  after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.

  i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

  I can see a time in the future when 'Scared and Lonely' will regret choosing that name for himself before he realises it's not changeable..

  There's nothing to be afraid of sir.. except that you may be about to actually live life for the very first time. How exciting! What an adventure you have ahead of you.. be grateful and grab this opportunity with both hands. Leap into and embrace the unknown!! Whoohooo....

  "the reason why I am planning on losing google as my browser and switching back to Firefox. Firefox is run for and by users. They were having problems with FlashPlayers a couple of years ago, and I switched to Chrome until that got sorted out - Chrome is so fast, though, I got hooked. Their latest privacy invasions have given me pause."

  The complete abandonment of all Google products and tools is a very good idea.
