Follow up to Crazyguys rant.

want to thank everyone that's posted on the other thread the advise is much appreciated and i will look at all the ideas before i proceed.

i wanted to talk about the advise concerning stopping my kids from going to meetings and or stopping the jw's from studying with my kids.

first a little background on my situation.. im still married and still living with my wife.

I have not studied the Bible with my kids as of yet because I don't believe it to be from God anymore.

Then teach them that.. they are your children.. not the organisations.

I know it must be an incredibly difficult and complex situation for you to be in right now and I did not mean to lack empathy. I never had a father at all and can see very clearly from the view of the child when one's father is not there to care for you and do the right thing however difficult and hard that may have been for him. Anything less is a form of abandonment. Being true to oneself is always important and even more so as a parent as it will be the substance and foundation of how your children will view you in later years.

Like: "Why if you knew did you let this happen to us".

Being true to yourself once you are awake is the first and primary thing. If you cannot do that, nothing else is really of any value at all.

If you're still in what happened to family study which you should take the lead in? How did these ministerial servants manage to take over your role as father?

Why don't you just stop the study as authoritative family head and take it yourself and teach your kids the real truth.

You seemed to have left a void with them that others have stepped in to fill. As I said before.. an absent father is the worst thing that can happen to a child.

main question: what do you think would happen if jehovah's witnesses stayed away from the watchtower organization for 6 months?

instead of "us" staying in their world for 6 months.

personally, i think they would be like the amish youth on rumspringa- many to never return.. i came across a thread here, where the poster said that their parents told them to give jehovah's org 6 months.

If you imagine most people in here got involved, drawn into and often stuck in the witness religion from reading just a single one of their books. Studies have also shown that people can be indoctrinated and brainwashed in a matter of weeks or even days depending on the methods used. 6 months? You're risking your life.

I find it funny that they say 'give Jehovah a try' when Jehovah is not even provably present in the minutest sense in anything they say or do. All that is present is a man made religious cult run by some odd old men in Brooklyn.

What you are in fact 'trying' by giving them a chance is just giving these people free reign to love bomb your ass into surrender and replace your entire lifestyle, friends, family, interests, activities, educational goals, sexual preferences, moral and ethical code with their own one size fits all template. Why by the way if you do not follow.. they will shun you.

yesterday some jw's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or ms may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic).

( they also do this behind my back as if i don't know).

i now realize by not being their i've handed my kids right over to them!.

If I was in your situation this is what I would do.

I would stop the witnesses from having any kind of study with or even access to my kids.. If that is not possible due to their mother having custody and control, I would then insist on being present at every study.. and then instead of letting them conduct any kind of Bible study.. I would request that we actually study the whole formation and true history of the witness organisation and its published teachings over the last 130 years; and that right there will be your opportunity to take them completely to pieces and save your children from being swallowed into the cult.

Can Anyone Help Me?

i'm wanting to set up a youtube channel exposing what goes on at meetings and the hypocrisy that goes on.

trouble is i'm not exactly welcome at the meetings if you know what i mean!!!

i was wondering if anyone out there in uk or us could let me have a khconf number and pin so i can record parts of the meeting and expose them on the tube.

I don't know how you would have the strength to listen to an entire audio stream of a even single whole meeting. Just listening to a few seconds of the clip below causes something inside me to experience a minor death stroke.

What Convinced you to Leave?

i've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.

anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?
