i was thinking back to the time when i was in my "spiritual paradise" oh about 7 months ago and i can really remember just how unhappy most people really were.
most seemed so loaded down with "privledges" and "responsiblilities" that it just sucked the life out of them.
any spirit they may previously had had faded to mere a shell of their former selves.

my wife, who is intent on re-activating herself as a dub since i da'd myself, went to the convention this past weekend.
she showed me this new publication entitled "learn from the great teacher", and placed great emphasis on these two pages i scanned and am posting.
it makes a poor show of telling children what to do when confronted by a child abuser.
Does anything satisfy you people? This book will help open a channel of communication between parent and child. I know you all think that you are the best parents in the world, but the truth is, that most parents do not discuss these private matters with their children. They allow the schools or their classmates educate them. Of course they are misinformed. It IS the parents responsability to warn their children about these sexual predators.

Excuse me but I know nothing about you and any family you have. What would satisfy me is when the WTS recognises that abuse has happened because of the 'authority' and 'spirit appointing' of some individuals who are to be trusted, trusted, and more trusted.
I do not think I am one of the best parents in the world but I do know that 'dialogue' as you describe it is not helped by this mealy mouthed publication - see above re how children are made to feelguilt if they are abuse victims.
It would help if the wts WARNED PEOPLE IN CONGREGATIONS RE PROVEN ABUSERS - DOES THIS HAPPEN ? i CAN ASSURE YOU IT DOES NOT - no this is not a rant at the 2 witness rule, at the secret databases held at Branch Offices - my point is very simple so hopefully you can understand it - why bother putting dross in books when REAL DANGERS with REAL KNOWN INDIVIDUALS is hushed up and victims are threatened if they dare tell others who was involved. For the record let me assure you that I am sure many accused individuals are not guilty - but when they are YOUR RELIGION protects them

Yes - my children hated being used in items and begged not to have to go on the stage and parrot out the "I love being a freak" routine - I hated being assigned to give the annual KMS item on return to school after the holidays, the bit about pioneering as a family in the holidays etc etc.
AT assemblies we had stop watches waiting for the creep families (no name - no pack drill ) who we knew were hated as smug arrogant and patronising hypocrites - they were ALWAYS on -

do these or other things cause yoiu to momentarily slip back to the thought controlled personality you had with its auto responses.....or have you been able to free yourself from these reactions?

it has been mentioned on this board many times that the jehovahs' witnesses are a cult.. this connotation may not ring true with witnesses.
i have mentioned to certain ones that.
the witnesses fit the "definition" of a cult.
I pause to wonder what difference it makes ........a cult.......not a cult........who cares when you have escaped!
Call it what you like or debate over words but nothing changes the plain fact that Jehovahs Witnesses as an organisation are as far removed from God as any organised religion. They may be a cult. they may not be a cult
