I woke up in a mischevious mood this morning. You have no idea how hard it was for me to RESIST continuing to play the true believer in Santa and refuting your godless ways.
I plan on proving the existance of Fairies (the Tooth Fairy in particular) next. I hope I get the same heated debates!!!

Undecided - I'm happy you've read the link, but none-the-less, I feel compelled to address your arguments:
Have you really read his writings(if you think the bible is his writings). There is more death, wars, killings than caused by anything that man has done in history. He invented the sword in the Genesis account that has caused more death than any other weapon. He killed the whole human race except for a few in the flood. He promises to kill all humans but a few on the straight and narrow path, according to Jesus. Does that sound like a loving God? Look at nature, all living creation lives by killing other creatures, from viruses, parisites, most animals and humans. Where is the love?
I have read his writings .... "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is just one in which we see how we can overcome this world's negativity thru the spirit of love and generousity. Isn't that heart-warming??? I don't believe any Whos in Whoville were slaughtered, although the Grinch was a fierce opposer.
Miracles? What kind does he do?
Well, firstly he knows when "you've been bad or good"; he's capable of gift-giving worldwide in one evening; he produces his own toys; his reindeer fly.... need I saw more?
Look at all the death and suffering due to viruses, and other diseases that cause suffering and pain. He is supposed to be able to cure it if he wished. Where is the miracles that stop it from killing his servants? What has songs got to do with anything? Your feelings in your heart doesn't prove anything except to you.
I'm not sure if Santa has ever claimed to heal - but I know he visits the sick children in hospitals every year.
I'm glad you can find peace personally, but I sure can't see any reason to have any from your evidence

Thanks Avishai, but I'm use to this type of contraversy and opposition! I FIRMLY believe the more I'm opposed in my beliefs, it is only evidence of the truthfulness of my stand.

Tashawaa, I'm sorry, but you seriously need to read some history books. Ever hear of the Crusades? The Inquisition? The conquest of Mexico? Etc. etc. etc. Many, MANY people have been "killed in his name." Entire civilizations have been conquered and subjugated "in his name." Some of them believed in Allah, too.
Jackal - I have read the history books, and perhaps you can refer me to the book that shows the evidence that Santa Claus participated in these events.

Sing it sister - I believe all FALSE gods have their orgin in Myth, however if you link to the site you'll see that there is evidence clearly presented!
Although, there may be a "human" face attached, that is so we can all relate to his kindness and generousity. His "humanity" does not negate his wisdom in knowing "all" nor his abilities as a miracle worker.

But unlike Allah no one has been killed in his name. He does no harm and loves unconditionally - all one has to do is believe in him. Therefore, Allah is a false god.

my daughter came home the other night from her grandma(jw) saying that she wouldn't let her watch a show about dinosaurs on discovery channel because what they were showing is not true.

Well, an active apostate dedicates a good portion of his/her day in "spreading the good news". Some have examined their lives and decided they could make room for this sacrifice. We applaud those that have expanded themselves in this ministry and do our best to support and encourage them.
I think your statistics show that MORE of us could make room in our lives for this vital, lifesaving, work instead of concentrating our lives on material pursuits.

... I've had to grow up emotionally. I now trust my feelings and my "inner voice". For me, this was probably the most damaging aspect of the JW faith, the demonizing of emotions. The heart was to be "guarded". You weren't to trust your feelings or your instincts. Gawd, I know why. Mine was yelling at me to get out since I was a teenager... took me an additional 15 yrs to "listen" to myself.
I feel now. I believe because of the disfellowshipping policy, hatred you're to have for the world, careful of association in the hall, etc. etc. much of me was emotionally vacant. I've since learnt to fill the void and feel again.
