I have no doubt whatsoever in my pea picking brain or stoney heart that God did indeed raise up Moses, Saul, David, Pharoah, and not only Pilate and Herod, but the entire Roman Empire to facilitate the spread of the Gospel. The first thing I would say you need to show me from the bible is that God is trying to prove ANYTHING. God has NOTHING to prove to ANYONE, that aside, God knows EVERYTHING, He is Omniscient. God doesn't need to SEE anything, God knows the end from the beginning. Also, show me in the bible where God gave the World to Satan. Last I checked, God gave the world to us humans. While I don't argue that Satan has a lot of influence in the World but does NOT control it. That is why voting is so essential, it's an opportunity most do NOT have to influence the World for God's purposes. Also, show me in the scriptures where voting is a sin, or against God's will.

Sage, God's law does NOT in ANY WAY forbid voting. For if we are to interpret "Be no part of this world" to mean don't vote, then it would also mean not to use the courts, or the schools, etc, etc, etc. What being no part of the world means is not to adopt the value system of the world which allows abortion on demand, conducts wars of aggression, etc etc etc.
As for satan offering the Kingdoms of the World to Jesus, Jesus tells us that Satan is a liar, and the Father of LIES. NO WHERE in scripture does God cede control of the world and it's governments to Satan. Does Satan have INFLUENCE in them, YES Hitler is a great example as is Stalin. But God is the God of History, not Satan.
Vote so that you can counter the influence Satan has in government.
If not keeping all ones promises are a basis not to vote for a person, than so to should it prevent one from being and Elder, right? Yet we know the Elders are men who make mistakes like the rest of us.
