just want to vent.......hope you don't mind.. my mother (jw) and her husband (also jw) had asked to take my husband and i out to eat for our anniversary.

since she really doesn't come to visit much (even though i'm only an hour away) i thought it would be nice.................a couple of nights ago she called me to tell me that instead of taking us out to eat that weekend they had decided to take the c.o.

out to eat.......................now, tell me does that seem right to you?

I truly believe that many of our family members who are still "in" make the choices they do, not because they really want to, but because they feel compelled to do so by a dogmatic belief system. In other ways, I think some folks use religion of any sort as an excuse to remove themselves from any responsibility for truly loving their own family or other people.

HMMM didnt the pharaseess use the religion as an excuse for not helping their parents? Guess the apple dont fall far from the tree...

someone who pronounced jehovah as jehover.

did you hear this at your kh.

In the spanish cong. some would yahowa, and heyova, and geeehova. Either way they said it..it is the wrong name all together...

Emotional Day

i am having one of those days.

it all started yesterday when i was picking up some work from a client yesterday nearby.

when i walked in the store, the nora jones cd was playing and i became emotional.

I nearly cried reading these posts. I feel for all of you..

I dont know everybodies situation here but I know most have to do with JW's. Whats wrong with the world when a cult can over ride human emotions and natural love. Sometimes I get so depressed I dont know what to do..

Something Good In Your Life

just thought it would be great to hear from everyone here about something good that's happening in your life.

so much is said about the watchtower and it needs to be said but i thought it would be nice to hear some good things about our lives.. for me what is good in my life right now is the containers of vegetables and flowers i am looking forward to planting, the fine music i'm listening to at this moment and being here with you all.

Thats just terrible. I used to be that kind of daughter to my mom. I was always preaching to her, and avoided association with her, though it wasnt me but my exs choice. But I was in subjection and always listended to him. I hope your mom sees the thruth about the troof and treats you better.

Its experiences like this that prove they are a cult.

my boobs are absolutely perfect but hanging a little low due to nursing and being 40 and i think that around the eyes, i could go with a little lift............ so what's ok with you?
