Unless the case is very complicated there probably wasnt much correspondence and anyway you can be sure now that everything has been destroyed or filed away where you would never be able to get it. IMO the few papers they might? have wouldnt be worth the trouble of retrieving. They do not keep much paper work on anyone. They dont need any. They do whatever they want without it.

We've chiseled away too and managed to get our best friends out. The husband, who resisted most, has finally been checked off in my book of outs. Now were working on another couple. They invite us, or accept an invitation to go out, in hopes of getting us to go back, but we pack our chisels and work away. We had another couple in the works but I think the husband (elder) discovered some cracks developing and has suspending our chiseling for now.

What the WT took from me.. is it gone 4ever?

the wt has been exposed to me as nothing but a bunch of lies, coverups, failed predictions, interpreting the bible to fit their teachings etc.
now i stand here,,,,,,,,,,,, with no belief system at all.

Talk: JWs are not go to a gym???
by WingCommander ini remember just a few short years back at my old congregation, there were a few younger brothers and sisters joining gyms and going to work out.
well, i guess the elders found out that everyone's free time wasn't being spent pioneering, so a talk (down to) was given one sunday on "not letting worldy pursuits take your eyes off the prize" or some shit like that.
the whole talk was about how we should devote all time to the wts and field service, and that going to or belong to a gym was just a worldly pursuit and that it was just making or bodies "showy".

Around here it was okay for brothers to work out - then a group of sisters decided to go - that got the elders going and they banned it saying the sisters would end up running off with the hunks at the gym. Apparently woman only use gyms to cruise.

Brain Washing? Mind Control?

if a good dub attends 5 hours of meetings a week, does 2 hours of service a week and does 1 hour of personal study a week, this adds up to 416 hours a year of time thinking and being "taught" about jehovahs witness beliefs.
416 hours adds up to about 11 working weeks a year!

have you been tricked about honesty?

the worldly people were gougers, thieves and downright dishonest.
when wed go to the mall and some charity would ask for a donation, my parents would politely refuse, then tell us kids the charity was crooked and skimmed off most of the money for itself.

Stories were told about some J.W finding a large sum of money and returning it. It was always emphasized that the only reason the money was returned was because this person was part of the uniquely honest organisation on earth.
Lately Ive realised that my parents and the WT may have been misleading me.
About a month ago I lost my wallet. It was returned intact along with some items that had fallen out of it. Surprisingly Id never seen this good Samaritan at the hall. The cross around her neck led me to conclude she is part of Babylon the Great. I cant imagine how this pagan lady could be so honest. She didnt even swipe my cash!
This morning on T.V I saw a story about a lady who returned $3300. This even though she is $15,000 in debt, her husband is unemployed and her baby is very sick. She said she didnt even think of keeping the money! What I cant understand is that the interview didnt even mention she was a J.W. ...... unless she isnt?
Maybe I was tricked and there are a lot of honest people out there.
Isnt is strange how the J.W.s are always harping on how the world is getting worse and worse degenerating they call it ..... but if you take off your WT-issued glasses you see all this good people. Too bad theyll all be destroyed at Armageddon.

JW kids & Dec. stress

when i brought it home, knowing it probably wasnt right, the parents reaction convinced me i was a real sinner.

I still remember making a Santa out of a toilet paper roll, red crepe paper and some cotton in one of my first years of school. When I brought it home, knowing it probably wasnt right, the parents reaction convinced me I was a real sinner.
From then on my sister and I were drilled on the evils of birthdays, paganism, Nimrodism and druidism; and the vital chronology proving Jesus was not born in Dec.
I began dreading the month of December: Christmas plays, decorating classrooms and the tree, art class, music class, gift exchanges, Christmas parties and the inevitable embarrassing questions and difficult situations that had to be explained to friends, other students, teachers and principals pretty much every year.
When I finished school and started work I still found my stomach getting queasy as December approached and rehearsing my lines like Merry Christmas Dah...thanks buddy; Christmas party? Wont be there, JW you know
I stopped going to the hall in 99 but I just realised that it is only this year that I can say my December stress level is completely normal.
Anyone else enjoying a relaxed holiday season?

by JH inlast time i set foot in a kingdom hall was in december 2001. it was sunday morning and i sat in the back as usual.
a handfull in the congregation greated me when i came in.
since it was the watchtower study, i needed a watchtower magazine to follow, but nobody had a copy for me.
