  I'm going to Bethel... Wanna Come?

  so my mother suprised me about a week ago by telling me we are going on a bus trip to bethel from april 13-17. for those of you who aren't used to this concept, american dubs seem to think that packing themselves on the bus with 60 other witnesses and driving for 4 days is somehow going to strengthen themselves spiritually.

  well, i doubt that will work for me.

  i was just wondering, is there anything i should look for/ be on the alert for?

  introductions so i never said the official "hi i'm a newbie thing".

  now i'm a junior member and i thought that maybe i should speak up and just say hi to everybody out here that gave me good advice when i needed it and made me laugh in spite of things.

  hi to all that i haven't gotten a chance to talk to yet and hopefully we'll get the chance here soon.

  i have a good friend of mine that is a jw.

  she has recently not been attending meeting and not reading her watchtower.

  Well I'm glad you have faith Shawn, I could do with more.

  There is no easy way to help them out, JWism is a lifestyle not just a set of beliefs. Some of us have lived it and know the doctrine like we know the back of our hand and still cant get our relatives out. You do have the advantage of never having been a JW, they will talk to you, with this advantage take Under74 advice and browse through the threads here for knowledge.

  i got a call from the er last night---hubby had been in an accident and they were running tests and x-rays.

  he was in terrible pain.

  they called back during the night during the night saying he has a shattered sternum and other injuries.

  Ok Shawn, welcome aboard. 1st, you personally cant save anyone, you can only have faith that God will save the ones you pray for. .

  2nd, a lifeguard will not attempt to save a drowning man if he is trying to save himself, they guy who is struggling would probably drown the lifeguard. JWs are trying to save themselves, the best you can do is be of gentle persuasion, dont cristisise, dont try to grab them out. Just become knowledgable and let them see that what you have is better.

  No and No...I wouldnt let my kids stay over in Neverland even though MJ is not proven guilty at this point, its just common sense. How can anyone be "Sure" that he isnt guilty anyway? Brummie

  Private life drama..

  i'm at work, stealing a bit of time.... .

  almost a month ago my work mates mother jumped in front of a train!

  she was 54. just the week before he was telling me how he was worried about her mental health.
