Please Tammyy tell me how do you know exactly which stories can be attributed to god and which to man. more importantly how do you know?
Also, how is a god so powerful that he stops the earth from moving so his homies can win a war not powerful enopugh to ensure his letter to humankind is not tampered with to the point that it is full of lies.

Monsieur please understand I do NOT believe that the old testament god is real. I want to see how those who do believe he is real (a large portion of Christians) can explain how his actions are appropriate

So then there is no reason to believe the actions of the Old Testament God are valid? The problem seems that the camps are divided as to wether the things written are metaphorical or real.

if we look at christianity it appears that pauls teaching are what formulate it and not jesus.
paul often contradicts the words that are "supposedly" spoken by jesus repeatedly.

From my understanding of the bible. From what I have read of the new testament things seemed far more simple and easy to abide by from the words supposedly spoken by Jesus. Not so much from Paul. IN MY OPINION.
Granted I have not devoted an enormous amount of time to the intricacies of the new testament and the history of the writers of every book or to the history of the Jews. Especially at this point in time I don't think I have the energy to put in that type of time to it.
I like to hear others thoughts on the matter however because maybe someone will have something interesting to state to motivate me to poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooossibly spend some time on it.
