Another shameless BTTT of one of my Memorial threads...
'tis the season, ya know
yes, it's that time of year, once again, when the society starts reliving jesus' last few days on earth as a human.... in addition to all the propaganda about the 144,000 and only they being "allowed" to partake of jesus' blood and body at the annual jw deny christ ritual...another jw teaching, though not as dissected, is the teaching that judas iscariot left the room before the bread and wine were shared with the apostles.. it's important to jw doctrine that this be the case.
because only those who make up the true christian congregation, the annointed, the first of these the faithful apostles, are to partake of these emblems.
if jesus was already aware of judas' plan to betray him and yet judas was present for this new, important ritual, it would be rendered useless by his partaking.

'tis the season, ya know
once again it is memorial season in jw-land.
the women are shopping for their easter, er, memorial dresses.
the kids look forward to, um, well, nevermind...they don't have anything to look forward to.
A shameless BTTT, because, well, I can if I wanna
i think i'll go to my favorite`watering hole and help "celebrate" tonight's festivities.. what are you doing this evening?.
anyone going to the "lord's evening meal"?.
.
fool around with the hubby.
You can't fool around on such a holy night!
You can if there's bondage and piercings involved
took one for the team tonight, and went along to the memorial.
my first time in a kingdom hall for just over a month.
it was as expected, dry, boring and extremely uninteresting.
Both groups benefit from the ransom sacrifice, but only the ones with the heavenly hope partake. This is because Jesus set this covenant with his close followers, ones who would be in the kingdom with him.
The close followers formerly known as the Faithful and Discreet Slave, but who have since been demoted by the Governing Body. Give em a couple years and no one but the GB will be allowed to partake...
here is a photo of a gilead instructor (br.
liverance) teaching a class on chronology.. the photo appears in a blog entry dated 5-21-2005.. note the "6,000" and "1,000" periods in the timeline drawn on the whiteboard.. i thought the 7,000 year creative day was no longer taught, but apparently it still is at gilead, at least in the year 2005.. (picture cannot be embedded here for some reason, so here is the link to it).

From the Reasoning book quote that was mentioned earlier, it's apparent that the WTS is reduced to explaining that since it is indisputable that the earth and heavens are millions of years old, the 7 creative days of 7,000 years each (49,000 years) does not apply to the actual planet or the heavens...
*** rs p. 88 Creation ***
Genesis 1:3-31 is not discussing the original creation of matter or of the heavenly bodies. It describes the preparation of the already existing earthfor human habitation. This included creation of the basic kinds of vegetation, marine life, flying creatures, land animals, and the first human pair. All of this is said to have been done within a period of six “days.”
The WTS conveniently ignores this verse, which torpedoes the above reasoning:
Exodus 31:17 "'Between me and the sons of Israel it is a sign to time indefinite, because in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth and on the seventh day he rested and proceeded to refresh himself.’”http://www.catholic.com/quickquestions/is-gods-name-yahweh-or-jehovah.
subject title refers to the link that i found in another thread, somewhat buried in text, but i thought it deserved to be highlighted.
take the time to read it if you can and just sit and think about it for a second, think about all of the hate and disgust jw's have for the cc and just let that truth settle in.. amazing really.
My research paper, as it were, back when I was looking into this subject...

re: proper handling of nested magazines.
dear brothers:.
Sorry. That was a nested post.
and that wins the 'undercover post of the day' award.
not sure if i spelled the word right, but:.
as some of you probably know i'm no longer active and have stopped attending etc...etc.... if one is disfellowshipped for whatever reason, including not agreeing with wtb doctrine...does the wtbs consider you worthy of death come armageddon?
i saw the trial transcript and that's what they believed in the 50's...anyone have any recent quote from their publications explaining how they see a disfellowshipped person?.
Technically speaking, JW doctrine style, that is... if I remember correctly, one can be DFd for apostacy, yet come back to the congregation, repent, be reinstated and still survive the Big A.
Now, there is a provision for being cast out, never to return and that has something to do with sinning against the holy spirit, which involves more than just plain ole everyday apostacy. I never got a good handle on it, but I think it was just mumbo-jumbo to keep us all in line from even going anywhere near the line of doubting or questioning.
But it wouldn't surprise me if they, in time, (if they haven't already and I just havent heard about it) make apostacy in general a sin against the holy spirit, with no hope of coming back or surving the end.

re: proper handling of nested magazines.
dear brothers:.
this is absolutely the dumbest thing I have heard them do since Sparlock and the "special instructions" on how to copy and spiral bind the elders information.
and you do realize that these 'dumbest things' are happening at an ever increasing rate. We truly are deep in the time of the end, brothers...
