What are the chances of 'God' actually being a powerful but mortal being, or set of beings who existed in the past, DIED, and now it's smartest creation (that we know of) is left guessing about the universe's origins forever?

Since I'm still 'in' for the time being, one of my pass times is browsing through the Facebook profiles of Jehovah's Witnesses on my list, as well as friends' of theirs. In particular I take note of their photos and comments, as well as pages they Like and how those choices betray the squeaky clean images that they love to portray.
A good number of them Like pages of movies, shows, bands and artistes they would denounce or deny in front of other Witnesses, yet they show appreciation for them on a medium which records their choices and makes that data public knowledge.
Many of them don't seem very good at hiding their porn habbit either. What I've noted about many single brothers (especially those 30+ and unmarried) is that they are Liking pages of pornstars and pages with explicitly titled content such as: Big Booty Freaks, Hot Naughty Freaks, Freaky Girls, Jenna Jameson etc. You get the picture. Interestingly, I've noted that some of these 'brothers' like more content than my 'worldly' friends. Makes you wonder huh?
I guess this is just a part of the vicious cycle of repression one encounters when persons let a cult control their bodies and minds.

by wha happened? ini purchased a condo late last year and due to my personal schedule, i wasn't able to redo it to my preferance until a few months ago.
all the heavy work is done.
now just replacing electrical outlets, fixtures and such.

i thought i would end up cleaning, organizing, something like that, but the first thing they wanted us to do was go door to door in the neighborhood handing out flyers!

How will the WT spin China???
by Freeof1914 ini read an article this morning on how china is quickly reaching even footing with the united states in all aspects; military, economic etc.
the article continued saying how it was imperative that the united states recognize that it would be forced to behave accordingly or risk ddestabilizing the world.
another interesting statement was made that sooner rather than later the u.s. would become the 2nd largest economy falling behind china.

I thought about that very thing recently. For now they would probably spin it and say China: "Yes, China has surpassed the USA economically, but not militarily or with regards to human rights issues. Kind of like the nonesense 'New Understanding' crap about opposing ideologies and close election results being represented by the iron and clay.
They will say it's not a clear marker and that the worlds' view is twisted and incorrect.

@Robert7: The thing about leaving is that all the evil associated with leaving comes from JWs themselves. I've been mentally out for a good while now. I'm sure many on here are, or have been in my position. Everything is peachy with my friends and family. However, if I were to make one call to one of my 'best friends', telling them that it's a cult and I've woken up to the mind control, within an hour my life would change! They would begin the gossip and smear campaign, and if one of them saw me on the street they would avoid me like a leper.
If one wakes up and lives for the next 80 years going through all the motions it would not bar them from the love-bombing, there would be no reason to express the extremist hate that disfellowshipped persons are shown.
