  How exactly would that be enforced? If that fairytale scenario occurs then people of ALL religions will cling to their religions even more and meet for, and spread their ideas underground. Especially if military action is being taken, even christian soldiers would be fighting and saying prayers between every magazine change, and ready to become suicide bombers for their faith. It's like the war on terrorism: wrong or right an idea cannot be wiped out through physical force.

  Good time for R&F to preemptively question GB validity

  with the new light in the july 15 watchtower, now might be the perfect time for rank and file members to question wether or not the big boys are who they say they are.

  in light of the fact that the men who claim to be the sole channel of communication for all mankind could not even grasp their own identity for the last 100 years, wouldn't now be a good time to turn the tables on the elders who are so quick to drag a questioning dub to the back room and demand loyalty to the governing body?.

  wouldn't now be a good time to put the july 15 watchtower in the middle of the table and ask to see the credentials on these men without fear of being suspected of apostacy?

  It's a very DIFFICULT task to wake most up, even with ammunition like that. I hinted at the new light to a group of 5 of my 'friends' recently. Their responses were basically: yeah, we understand that change already, wasn't there ALREADY an a study issue some months ago on that teaching? The GB certainly know what they are doing! The light is getting even brighter!

  The GB have a cult of personality surrounding them, even though the average JW cannot identify all of them by name or face. To them they are a bunch of very old, very wise men who are ALWAYS RIGHT.

  If there was new light at the next convention that circumcision is once again required, most JW males who aren't already would run to the doctor the next day to get snipped up despite the pain and permanent alteration.

  @Gayle:
  I really don't see shunning / disfellowshipping being revised. Those are 2 of the 3 hooks dug into the back of every zealous JW to get them to remain loyal, the other is 'being killed at armaggedon'.
