What do you do to fill the void?

i know many of you are dfed, daed, and faded.

what do you do to fill the void of the time left that was devoted to the religion?

i just like to know what activities you all are into.

okay, here goes.... i've seen many many many references to kool-aid here, such as "don't drink the kool-aid" etc etc but i can't work out what it's all about.. but, my imagination tells me that maybe someone went to a memorial meal, "partook of the emblems" and discovered that it wasn't wine, but kool-aid.. am i right or is there something else going on?.

Just saw a production on that tonite. They're now choosing to no longer call it a mass suicide, but rather a mass murder. Jones was a bitch. There was evidence to suggest that he had someone shoot him. He did not necessarily shoot himself. One of the biggest pieces of shit that a mother could bear. I feel bad for his parents. That man was an unstable piece of garbage. 300 children out of the 908 that died. Many were forced to take it. They interviewed Jones' son and several others who made it out alive. The guy who killed the congressman got 18 years and got out in 2002. He's roaming free after killing a congressman. Yay justice!

people who speak non-tonal languages are more likely to have a more recently evolve form of the genes aspm and microcephalin.. this raises an interesting idea.. possibly no non-tonal languages were spoken at the time of the towers of babel.. how would a jw explain?.

Outlaw...Ukrainian????really! Those people are indestructible. My great grandpa smoked non-filtered Lucky Strikes and Camels since he was 8, gassed by the Germans in WWI, and lived until he was 97. Go figure. My gramps told me a story about this guy. As a policeman in the early 30's in CT, he was driving through the neighborhood on his day off with his family. He saw a young "gentleman" beating the crap out of an old man on the side of the road. He slammed on the brakes, told his family to sit tight, chased that dickhead into the bushes, beat the crap out of him, dragged him to the corner, had a neighbor call the police that were on duty, and waited for the cops to take him away. Then he got back into the car, and drove away as if nothing happened. That man was a badass. God bless the Ukraine.

Paisley Ties Are Satanic, Sandals Are Immodest. What is Worldly????

20 years ago (in my teens!

) there was a well established rumour that the paisley pattern had demonic origins.

no brothers in my hall wore ties with that pattern, until a watchtower had a brother wearing a tie with this pattern.. a co said that sisters feet should not seen at the meetings for the sake of decency.

now that i've done my tour, and can relate to some the stories that these 'weirdo war vets' have told me, i'm starting to get it.

Restrangled-That's one thing that lured me to enlist, a strong family history. Civil war, WWI and II, Desert storm. Though knowing what I know now, I'd try to lure my sons AWAY from doing the same. By the way, I have great respect for you jarheads. But I wouldn't give a bean to be a fancy-pants marine... Rock of the Marne!!!

so i work at a bar.

i'm a bouncer.. a floor guy to be specific.

(in any bar, there's people assigned to the door, and people assigned to the floor- newbies get to stand in the rain and look at ids while floor guys maintain order inside the joint).. anyhow, i had kicked some guy out of the bar last week.

Evidently there are people who believe that the boundaries that have been drawn by our forefathers are not worth fighting for. From the beginning of time, nations, peoples, etc., fight for land, borders, idealogies, and in some cases, women. This will not change, nor should it. There is no Val Halla, Nirvana, 'new system', or Utopia. If anyone wants to believe in paradise, then go and be a JW. But liberal minded people should stop dreaming of such. That's just my opinion though. I ain't no flag waving conservative, but I will shed a tear for those who are willing to place their lives in harm's way for my way of life. And in the meantime, soldiers will fight and die for a person's right to criticize why and what soldiers are doing.
