Rutherford was a success as a politician, a failure as a family man.
He was an opportunist, a bigot, a bully, a charismatic speaker, a hack writer.
In another life, I see Joseph as a successful rock promoter.

can judge rutherford be considered successful person?
the answer is "yes, he was very successful indeed.".
this is amazing, because rutherford really was quite an ignorant man, particularly about science.. he was, however, very very crafty, and was able to place himself as president for life of a religious organization, and have all the members of the religion thinking that he was chosen by jehovah god himself to lead and manage the religion.

the following is a letter from j rutherford.
emphasis mine.
has anyone any other examples of the sweet man expressing righteous indignation?
The Judge would be a frequent and loquacious poster. He would win many admirers with his hard-hitting anti-Watchtower drivel. Over time he would be invited to serve as a Forum Assistant. In that capacity he would successfully banish a number of quick-witted potential enemies.
His service to Simon would take on an increasingly larger role as he became more familiar with the technical aspects of running a forum. Eventually, he would seize control of the forum on an internet technicality. Many would leave the forum over this turn of events.
Rutherford would impose his personality over the forum and change its name. All of the threads would be started by him personally with copies of these threads made available to the general public.
All of the remaining posters would rejoice and see Jehovah's hand in all this.

St. Farkle
we actually has a study with a disabled elderly couple living in a trailor.
it was wall to wall filth, rat infested and smelled awful.
i was a child, but mom and dad brought me along anyway.
My wife had studies in several of these type homes. If they made any progress at all, we would usually help them "redecorate".
One lady, Brenda, in rural Arkansas, was the worst. She had three kids near school age, not trained to use the restroom. Excrement was smeared all over the walls. Space heaters raised the indoor temperatures in the winter to about 85F.
I would sit in a recliner near a window and raise the window for fresh air to breath. My primary occupation was suppressing the gag reflex.
On a subsequent study, "my" recliner was out in the yard. Brenda said it had a rat's nest in it.
Brenda eventually became a JW. For some reason a very prissy Circuit Overseer included her in his car group. The CO came back from the territory early. Brenda's five year old had pooped in the back seat of his immaculate Chrysler.
Those were the days.

WalMart may be the most hated, but most emulated company in the world.
My employer for thirty years, The Kroger Company, has an intense fear of WalMart on many levels, but did everything to copy the retailer. Kroger downsized its health benefits to match WalMart whenever permitted. Countless stories of WalMart's strongarming of suppliers were told at Kroger sales meetings in almost a giddy, hero-worshipping tone.
My cancelled checks each month seem to indicate several monopolies in their field: WalMart, Home Depot, AutoZone, Best Buy. Would I every patronize a local business instead of these biggies? Probably not.

i've heard of some companies that do what they call exit interviews for employees who leave the company.. this is from an archive on google that describes how to conduct an exit interview with someone who is voluntarily leaving the company:.
the exit interview.
the exit interview is an interview given to a departing employee.
Scully,
The exit interview concept would extraordinarily revealing to the GB, but, of course, they would never implement such interviews. They already know why we left:
1. We were not "of their sort".
2. We succumbed to "the desires of the flesh".
3. We lacked humility.
4. We are not a true "sheep".
5. We are unrepentant.
6. We did not love Jehovah.

i have been doing handwriting analysis for over 30 years.
my experience shows that it can reveal the inner mind of an individual.
i came accross a good sample of jt rutherford's handwriting on the inside cover of the 1941 book 'children'.. just a few of my observations of mr rutherford: his upward writing slant shows a postive mental attitude- the general slant to the right shows a man with above average emotional response.
Moshe,
Many of the observations you have made about Rutherford coincide with what is known about the man. Certainly, this forum has been instrumental in revealing his pecadillos, character flaws, etc. Your critique parallels what we already know.
You cite examples in your life of random analysis of complete strangers. Such an analysis of Rutherford's handwriting would mean more.
About twenty-five years ago, a handwriting expert asked for a sample of my handwriting. He knew I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and his analysis reflected that. He found my writing style rigid, inflexible, uncompromising as well as repressed. Those observations were in harmony with his personal view of my religion.
It's interesting that you mention pen pressure. I must be on the higher end in that category. My writing was always darker, bolder than others. My wife and I use duplicate checks and on those rare occasions that I write a check, it is copied through several duplicates.
Another observation: Even my laziest and fastest penmanship does not have any breaks. That is a conscious effort, just like dotting every "i" and crossing every "t". So would that be considered to reflect a personality trait or simply a conscious effort to imitate that trait?
Regards,

Trojan,
Of course, the fear of disfellowshipping, loss of privileges, counsel, etc. is the thread strung through every decision a witness makes. Love of God and neighbor is not even a close second.
It's almost laughable to say that a JW is guided by Bible principles, exercize of conscience or love when it is almost never that.
The pharisaical hierarchy of Jehovah's Witnesses creates an environment that makes living a double life a survival necessity.
"True neighbor love" is always displayed by more activity in the publishing work, not acts of kindness.
Talk about a skewed value system!
