  BEW's ..........Irrational Thoughts

  i have been having some pretty irrational thoughts lately.. its only been 3 months since we decided it is not the "truth".

  but sometimes i think we (my family) would have been better off if we had stayed inactive witnesses.

  the strain affects the whole family.. sometimes it feels like my whole world has fallen apart.

  Everyone has given you so much support and words of encouragement, there is not much for me to add.

  Just that I too felt that way once, and it passed, and it will for you too. It is scary to have your anchor removed, regardless if it was a false one or not. It is scary to have to think for yourself, and be responsible, maybe for the first time in your life, for where you are in life and where you are going. It is TERRIFYING!

  But I also agree with what Patio said, you should get to a point where it is no longer terrifying, and instead is LIBERATING, and then you realize that you are your own person, and you are worthy and capable...and you don't NEED anyone else to make you happy..just yourself. That, my dear sister, is the point at which you will be celebrating your freedom....and I will be celebrating with you!

  And if you could get your Aussie arse over here to America, we could do a proper celebration! wooohooo

  My Story******Short Version!

  i was raised a poor white child in the deep south...ok, florida, where i still am.

  i was the typical slightly self righteous witness, miss goody goody, left school at 16 to pioneer, which i did for 4 years, met a guy and married him.

  he had 2 kids from a previous marriage and we had 2 kids of our own.

  Thanks for your kind words, sweetie. I am happy also that I found a person to really share my life with...a sweet surprise I had given up on. And the friends I have made on this board...oh my...such dear ones. I will never forget some of the experiences that have been shared here. You, Harmony, are one of the most positive ones on this board, and for that I thank you.

  I am (again [8>]) appalled at the unfair, unloving treatment you received by "God's spirit appointed men". HAHAHAHAHA

  Seriously, your story is so sad because it has happened to so many. But the fact that you and your wife stayed together, she left the borg also, you now have 2 beautiful children who will escape that enslavement...
  ahhhh...I love happy endings!

  I'm glad you found this site, and I hope it is as encouraging to you and your wife as it has been for me and my family.

  this is an exact copy of the letter given to me by the guy who was conducting my jw studies.

  he gave it to me after i told him i no longer wanted to study with the jw's, in part because of their failed predictions and doctrinal changes.. .

  but have not some of the beliefs of jehovahs witnesses undergone adjustments over the years?

  Venice, I have to ask what the hell you were talking about in your reply above. Who is "Dave"? Were you thinking that is Freepeace's name? It is Doug. And if that is what you meant, then it makes sense!

  Thanks for your post, sweetie. I am glad we are back, too. We missed you all! We had a GREAT time though, and as soon as we get the pics back, we will post a few. I am having to wrestle Freepeace to the ground every time I want some computer time, now and then, as you can imagine, I get somewhat distracted.

  I am sorry for your loss buddy, and the pain that you feel. I hope that by all of us being here on this board, we can really "be there" for others who may be in the same situation as Will. It is never good to feel that you are alone, and that no one understands you, especially the GOD who supposedly created you in his image. Maybe he created Bobby in his image...that would make sense.

  Yes, the boys in Brooklyn have much to answer for. And I know the pain that Michael, and you, have suffered. But you are both doing so much better now. Michael is a fine young man...and Dana and I are happy to have him added to our "little" family now. Hey, this way, we have fewer Xmas presents to buy!
