by OUTLAW in.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts,filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn,that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls,they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter,only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...
are you going to let "your" congregation know about the other 3 secret pages?...

That is not true. No such commitment has been asked of the congregations here.
"One of us has seriously mis-read the G.B.'s follow-up letter - and I respectfully suggest that it's you!!! The letter says that congs will be allowed to keep a maximum of $5000 (£2900) of their own money!!"
Such a letter has not been received here, and on direct question from me yesterday evening to the elders, the whole congregation was told that we will keep everything which we now have and which in future will come in in access of the donation amount.

That is not true. An amount will be donated each month, yes - but the congregations will still have their "old" bank account(s) and any amount received in excess of the donation amount and the stipulated monthy amount for electricity, water etc. will be kept by the congregation, put into the congregation's account. Only the donation amount will be sent to the WT. Accounts will NOT be cleaned.

But organization books will never be distributed at conventions, as they are for publishers only. It might be announced that a new one is printed, but it will be distributed later i nthe autumn thru the congregation, never just handed out to a crowd.

I have fed a number of birds regularly thru winter, and among the species were some doves. This spring, two of them took a liking for each other and teamed up. For a couple of weeks, extensive construction work was jointly done and resulted in a nice little nest, undoubtedly a cosy home for the small family which expected to multiply. I could follow their daily chores from a window. And luck struck, as a couple of weeks ago four nice, spotted eggs were to be seen. I enjoyed watching the unfolding events.
Others were watching too.
A gang of crows never interfered or troubled the happy couple in any way, they were just watching, and from time to time checked in on the progress. The male dove would be out looking for food, leaving the female alone, but the crows did not bother her. Perhaps they were happy, too, on behalf of the fellow birds, the doves, that they were successfull, a naive observer could think. The crows continued to bother nobody.
Until one day just recently.
In the twinkling of an eye they formed a hunting party, and carefully organized, just like a chimp or whale hunting party, within a couple of seconds made a swift aimed attack at the nest. My yells and knockings at the window did not scare them this time, as opposed to what it had always done before if they tried to steal food from the other birds. With beaks, claws and wings they managed to drive the doves away and make the nest turn upside down and fall to the ground with its precious little eggs. These smashed to the ground – and the crows hurriedly ate them.
The doves could do nothing but watch. They circled a few times above the scattered pieces of egg shells and straw, and flew away, and I have not seen them since.
And to my mind came only one thought, Genesis 1:31:
“After that God saw everything he had made, and look! it was very good “
And subsequently also Psalm 104:24:
“How many your works are, O Jehovah! You have made all of them in wisdom. The earth is full of what you have made.“

How did HQ handle the increase of new JWs leading up to 1975?
by Zoos inthis new donation arrangement under the pretense that so many new halls are needed to accommodate the worldwide increase has me wondering.
the numbers in the current annual reports don't show anywhere near the increase as there was leading up to the 1975 debacle.
so how did the gb of the time handle a genuine need for more kingdom halls?.

There were not many KHs in the pre-75 era, at least not in Europe. Our congregation owned its own old house, and was one of the first to have one. So it was a question of renting larger school rooms or space like that. Post-75 just saw slightly less people coming but no selling necessary. My first congregation donated thousands of dollars monthly to the branch because of low cost of renting a room in an old building.
Two neighnouring congregation are a bit anxious right now, as each of them sold their KH last year in order to build new ones and now are having their meetings in the KHs off other congregations. Each of them have a bank account of some 1 million dollars because of the sales.
My congregation? Would have been debt free in 40 years (no kidding), but it is now zeroed out. Two opposite takes.

A farce elder here

i was recently appointed an elder, about 6 months ago now, and that is exactly two years after my awakenning, but funny that the appointment came also about 2 years after i had completely lost all faith in god and had been leading a full time anti-jw life .
makes you wonder the role of the holy spirit in the entire nomination or appointment process.. .

Proposed Apostate takeover campaign

stage #1.. what if in a town that had a particularly large amount of apostates and ex-jw's, over a period of a few months, they started going to a small congregation.
either pretending they were bible studies or just returning jw's, they got good standing in the congregation, priveleges etc.
