Proposed Apostate takeover campaign

Fictional Apostate takeover campaign. Just for fun.

    STAGE #1.

What if in a town that had a particularly large amount of apostates and ex-JW's, over a period of a few months, they started going to a small congregation. Either pretending they were bible studies or just returning JW's, they got good standing in the congregation, priveleges etc. Maybe MS appointments later on, and elder appointments.

As the congregation grew (half of which are undercover apostates), the society split it up into two, or send some of the 'real' JW's to other congregations. Then you would end up with either an entire undercover apostate congregation, or one that is majority apostate.

Imagine, all the elders are apostate - all the MS's are apostate - virtually all the members are apostate - all acting out their roles when the CO swings by.

JW's who move to the area and are assigned to the congregation will be relatively easy to wake up from some carefully constructed talks from the apostate elders making them think - plus people in the congregation helping them along - until they wake up and join the ruse. Once this congregation is successful perhaps apostates from other parts of the country who want to help out can further pad out the numbers of this congregation (maybe they don't even have to live there physically).

    STAGE #2.

The apostate elders can pretty much appoint who they want for elders - as no holy spirit is required, just some paperwork and recommendations. So they appoint a bunch of elders who shortly after move to 'where the need is great' (another small congregation) and the process repeats. Apostates in that area are 'visited' by the apostate elders to see if they want to help out. The congregation expands as in stage #1.

    STAGE #3.

Jump forward a few years - we now have a bunch of fully apostate congregations continuing to expand. No donations are going to the Society from these congregations as all the members are "extremely poor". The halls belong to the congregations. Any witnessing that is being done is just some token witnessing when the CO comes around - and what is being preached is just to warn people about JW's. Virtually no witnessing is being done in these areas (though the branch will think otherwise). Perhaps a CO could be recommended from one of the congregations.

    STAGE #4

As the web of Apostate congregations spread it becomes easier to deprogram JW's that move into the area or even visit the congregations. A huge support system is in place now - they can even continue going to meetings, albiet faux apostate ones, things grow and grow. At some point a tipping point is reached - how far it goes is the question, but at some point all the apostate congregations revolt against the GB in some way that grabs worldwide attention. Something that can't be swept under the rug by the GB - a mass exodus of fully awake members. The news is plastered everywhere - JW's can't ignore it.

A second mass exodus occurs to an ever growing support system. Once the scales are tipped in the apostate favor the Watchtower has nothing else to offer. All that remain are the GB and their loyal asskissers.

The huge voice of Ex JW's and the stories of coverups and corruption end up in the GB being successfully convicted of a huge range of illegal and horrible things. They spend the last of their days in jail.

    Apostates around the world rejoice.

Interesting zound. However, if I might point out - that we HAVE NOW " a bunch of fully apostate congregations continuing to expand".

Wouldn't is just be easier to educate some local churches about how to avoid the typical JW memorizations and actually share the fact there is no salvation in in other name than Jesus?

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. - Acts 4: 12

What about watchtower dangers being discussed (tapes played over and over ad infinitim) on one (or more) of the "xtian" radio stations - some are broadcast all over the world. There's one in my city and some of you with all the cult's history and public speaking experience would be great. Imagine people hearing about the cult everyday or 5 days a week.

All the lives lost because of their savage blood policy, shunning - torn families, their hate for others of the world, etc. One would never run out of material to discuss.

    I dunno...

...seems to me like it's more likely to just reinforce the R&F's general "whole world is Satanic and trying to undermine JWs' faith" thing...

    I could be wrong.

    What about this quicker method:

Locate award-winning investigative reporters in 20 major cities and propose they check on jw-land and the wts the same as has been done with scientology and polygamist cult groups?

Coverage reaches masses of people...the journalists are always on the hunt for an investigative series to win awards...papers love them because they sell.

Surely the pedophilia, shunning and real e$tate angles would be enough of a carrot...

The basic problem with any conspiracy theory (or plan, in this case) is that people are lousy at keeping secrets.
