  Help needed - Did the GB receive Covid money?

  this is not a political post regarding the vax jab, (let's not go there) but i personally know many who were disturbed by the gb pushing it in the update #7. .

  there is a report with itemized churches and the amounts they were given.

  If they haven`t done so already I`m sure they will apply especially when you see the list of those who have already done so.

  Why wouldn`t they.

  Their are a lot of questionable religious organizations who have received money from this fund.

  My 20 year anniversary

  after being a jehovah's witness for 52 years, today marks my 20 year anniversary of being out of the borg!

  i turned in my letter of disassociation on september 18th 2001. it was read to the congregation on september 19th, my wife's birthday.

  of course the years have had its difficulties but it has also had many wonderful experiences and epiphanies.

  spillane, mickey spillane.

  he pulled no punches and his pen was as fast as his gun.

  after all, it took almost three whole weeks for mickey to type his first novel.

  I used to read Spillane`s books when I was a teenage and some were made into movies as well as two TV series, actors Darren McGavin ? and I forget the other guys name .

  I read somewhere he became a witness after reading a tract that was left under his door

  .I saw a photo of his latest wife some years ago and thought she looked like one of the broards he would describe in his books.

  I beleive I started a post about him some years ago.

  Are JW Masters of Deception?

  i notice that some worldly people think jw are very honest people but we know better than that!

  True, they speak out of both sides of their mouth.

  On the one hand they say that Christendom has hid the name of God from their members,and on the other hand they say they used the name Jehovah because it was the most popular name in use ?

  "Aid To Bible Understanding"

  By whom ? Christendom of course.

  Its not OK to outright lie but its OK to with- hold truthful information that you don`t want the people to know about that might give the impression you don`t want them to believe.

  Do JWs buy old JW books to destroy?

  i have never heard of this but i doubt its never been done.

  i sell some older jw books on etsy and have always been a bit afraid that some jws are buying them to destroy.

  Every so often other Christian denominations have talks or literature about the JW`s ,I wonder if any of them would be interested in the old JW publications ,so they could warn their flock to the dangers of getting mixed up with JW`s and proving that they are false prophets / and only exist for profits.?

  Earthquake in Victoria Australia

  i ,along with many other victorians in australia,experienced my first earthquake this morning about 9:15 am.. it was recorded as a 5.9 magnitude.and an after shock of 4.0 magnitude.. i was having a lay in bed due to the fact my wife had a bad night due to her health problems which affected my sleep as well.. and i thought geeeze she`s making a lot of racket coming up the passage to the bedroom with her walker and then the bed started shaking like crazy .

  i thought my computer`s going to hit the deck along with the printer as other things started to fall over.. our house sits on concrete stumps and the thought went through me that the house could collapse ,but thankfully there was no structural damage that i could find.. apparently it was felt far and wide covering most of victoria / nsw and even tasmania.. anybody else here had a similar experience ?.

  1995 generation change

  now, many years later, i remember the 1995 generation change, very well.. since early youth, hearing my father explaining in field service the 2520 years.

  it was his main theme in the field.. with the change my doubts started.

  with some jw friends we did not trust the organization anymore.

  The Bible and 2-3 witness rule on the approximate length of a generation.

  1. Mat.1:17 2016 years divided by 42 =48 years

  2.Luke 3:23-38 76 generations from Adam to Jesus ,4024 years ,divided by 76 = 53 years

  3.Mat.24:1,2 ,When Jesus made this prophecy to the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD it was well within a generation of approximately 50-70 years. Luke 21:20-24

  This ludicrous teaching about an overlapping generation is nowhere even hinted at in the Bible .

  greetings all,.

  i'm new here, not jw, yet i'm curious if there's anyone out there who has recently converted to jehovah's witness who can give me a better understanding of what brought brought them from point a to b in terms of coming to understand jw theology as truth.

  ,If you want to preserve your sanity ,your individual freedom ,and keep normal relationships with your family and friends ,then you need to sever any more contact with the Jehovah`s Witnesses / WTB&TS as they don`t have the "truth" and never have had the so called "truth". Nobody has.

  Do your research and a good place to start is right here using the search option at the top of the page and type in anything you want to know about Jehovah`s Witnesses.

  Have a look at the 4 Corners ABC TV program from Australia that is available on this forum 4 starters..

  I was a convert way back in 1960 ,the worst mistake I ever made and have regretted it ever since.
