i am lucky enough to live in a small cabin on a lake, i enjoy rowing my old boat and fishing, i play with car projects, and we travel as much as we can.
about the difficult thing about owning a dog, I think that could apply to owning a cat, too!

We had both for many ,many years our dog travelled with us as we moved interstate over 2000 miles by car and our cat came down by plane once we had settled in .
I cried when both eventually passed and especially with our toy poodle "Lillie" that became my dog we had them both for about 16 years,
here's my list of jw no-no's as i recall: .
1. no giving or accepting valentine candy for students.
2. no going to home coming football games.

I used to play Table tennis at lunch time in a few places where
I once worked and when I retired I joined a Seniors Citizens group that had a TT group which I became a part of and I also at the same time joined a Keenagers group that had Table Tennis on the agenda.
And participated in that for a number of years.
I have now been a member of a Men`s Gym at the local Health Clinic 3 doors away from my home for the past couple of years.
Not only my body benefits from these exercises but so do my eyes

hi all, some may remember about 5 years ago, i did a few articles on what the australian census of 2016 said about jw and some other religions.
i have been meaning to add a bit on the 2021 census; the more detailed results have only been available in the last month or so.. an obvious question is why and how did jw numbers increase between 2016 and 2021. it is reasonable to assume the pandemic had a role.
the data doesn't fully answer that question, but it does show that a lot of over 35 y.o.
Thinking back to when I became a JW in 1960 their were about 60 thousand members in the religion and now there are about 84 thousand did I read that correctly ?

by the age of 2, i began noticing comedy was a verbal violation of logic.. in fact, groucho marx taught me an important way of applying my thinking in terms of logic and humor.
by the age of 2, i had been taught to develop a bias toward “what was obviously logical” and to omit all else.. that was a social bias.

how do you get out of watchtower?
am i supposed to write letter to bethel or local congregation telling them i don't want to be a jw anymore?
how are the steps.
IMHO if you do send a DA letter to the congregation or to HQ they will dishonestly imply that you hate the people in the congregations that are JW`s as well as the organization.
So just be aware that maybe the case , otherwise just fade and be non committal whenever anyone asks you why aren`t you going to meetings anymore .
why is it important to some that god only have one visible organization to represent him on earth?
why is it important to jehovah's witnesses that people recognize their organization as such?
what makes a witness more moral or righteous or save-worthy if they accept that it is his one and only organization?
But what was God's crucial single visible organization from 300 AD to 1800 AD i.e., before Russell came on the scene?
The Roman Catholic Church of course ,what other organization lasted that long ?
And is still in existence
And their are currently about 1.3 Billion members .

Doesn`t common sense tell you to report child sexual abuse to the appropriate authorities regardless whether it was a mandatory requirement or not ?
Oh I forgot, common sense and being a JW doesn`t compute !
I should know I was a JW for 32 years .
