however this reasoning is discarded when talking about the existence of god.. and if such a being as god somehow existed without a designer why not all forms of life itself as existing on earth ?.

This is one person who claims many others are eye witness accounts of what Jesus said and done .

It is not many others who claim they are eye witnesses of what Jesus said and done .

Big difference.

I welcome beleivers in a personal GOD to respond as I would like to hear what you have to say.

I am still waiting ? Anybody ?

This is not meant to be an attack on your beleifs but a genuine question as to how you can beleive without having a satisfactory answer to the questions I ask ?

And if you do have a satisfactory answer please reply ?

old news but uncle bruce wanted it dug up.... the guardian.

22nd july 1985.. man killed in blast.

at sydney service.. from richard yallop in melbourne.. one man was killed and 70 people were taken to hospital after a bomb exploded yesterday during a jehovah's witnesses service in a kingdom hall in the sydney suburb of lurnea.. the explosion occurred close to the speaker's dais just as mr. david winder, a visiting elder from the sydney suburb of prospect, had begun his address on loyalty to god and the family.

I was stil a JW when I first heard of this while living in Brisbane and wondered ?

While nothing prophetic happened as far as JW `s concerned it`s not something you would wish on anybody .

I`m glad they caught and prosecuted the guy.

I wonder how these same people in that congregation then, are now going nowadays. ?

That could be interesting.

I was going to post a comment on how is this guy getting so much mileage when by all accounts he just seems like an arrogant prick ?

What decade or era in human history do you like the most or would have liked to live during?

in the us, the 60s and 70s was a great time to be alive except for getting drafted if you wanted to be that age.

they were music years, greatest movies, fun, simpler and enjoyable days—also except for the d&ugs.

I was born in 1939 and I`m still here ,and I think those were great years, ( wouldn`t have missed them for the world ) it`s a pity I wont live another 80+ years to see more technological , scientific , medical advances made in those coming years.

Oh well , such is life.

I knew a couple who moved to WA either in the 60`s or 70`s from Williamstown Melbourne .

An Elder / PO and his wife and young Daughter , Ron Sandilands was his name .

Ever heard of them ?

And if such a being as GOD exists why only one ? If one such being exists why not many ?

This is just some of the reasons I cant beleive in a GOD. am I alone with such thinking ?

i was in the jw's till about 1999 in perth.

i sort of thought the advice "never complain and never explain" was appropriate, so i just stopped going to the kh!

Hi Jon , I`m fro the SE coast of Victoria ,I got the "struth" in Melbourne when i was about 20 YO .

Yet I also lived in a Northern suburb of Brisbane for 37 years before moving down here.

I knew a couple who moved to perth to serve where the need was great in the 70`s I think R S was his initials ?

I have been free of the cult since ` 93

Welcome ,its a great site.

PS .My first cong. was Central ? then Metropolitan ? in Melb, and my last was in Redcliffe Qld.

Was / Is God biased ? prejudiced against certain Peoples / Tribes or Nations ?

let me explain :.

after the creation account of the bible, tribes of people and nations began to form and spread around the land.. god first chose noah and his family to protect them as he destroys all others in the flood.. and he ticks off everyone in babel ?

and then he favours abraham and his descendants as the nation of israel culminating in the jewish lineage to jesus the son of god.. he has never had any dealings with any other people`s or nation isn`t that some form of favouritism ?

I have to admire your faith and conviction Sea Breeze , but I just can`t beleive because someone is so sure of their faith and conviction ,then it must be true.

Because life has taught us that time and time again faith and beleif is no sure guarantee that what you beleive is true.
