I have been in a congregation or two that were very conservative in their lifestyle.
I have also been in a congregation or two that were very liberal in their lifestyles.
Before I converted to the religion I was a problem drinker and had taken steps to rectify it and was surprised after a couple of years to find in these more liberal congregations that their were a few heavy drinkers among them as Elders .My wife and I were in the clique with Elders and MS as I was and I still managed to keep my drinking under control as I still do 25+ years after leaving the religion.
So it wouldn`t surprise me at all about the genuineness of the OP and being accurate and true.

I was a convert at 20 convinced my then GF it was the "truth" ,we got married in a KH about 18 months later and remained in it for 32 years both ,been out since 1993 ,celebrated our 61st wedding anniversary in Feb.
As nicolaou says maybe it was despite being JW`s .
Both my son`s marriages took place in the "struth" and both failed after a few years .
One son remarried a sister and after a short while both left the religion and have remained happily married for many years.
The other son left the religion and married out of the "struth" and remains happily married for many years now.

I guess "All" forms mean cart witnessing , incidental , letter writing ,informal , which amounts to the same as incidental ,what else is there ? Phone witnessing ? E-mailing ?

Can anybody here spell out what the policy's are for GOD`s Kingdom ?
Are they specifically outlined in the Bible ?
I don`t recall ever reading any policy`s in my 32 years as an active JW
To me it seems like there is a lot of guess work and speculation from believers about what the KOG will be like.
That`s not very reassuring is it ?
And knowing God`s own past history recorded in his own book doesn`t inspire much confidence in me that its going to be any better than what we have now .
In fact it could be a helluva lot worse.

That`s good ,no waking us up these cold wintry mornings and we can then do a lot of anti witnessing to those still trapped in the Borg doing cart work if we are so inclined to do so.
We should be able to form great questions for them to mull over even if they don`t respond to us at the time .
Once a seed of doubt is planted in their mind who knows what will result ?
You can`t unhear what you heard.

Simple Question Re 1914

wt claims that satan was thrown out of heaven in october 1914 precipitating ww!

and the end times.

a small problem with that is ww1 started on july 28th 1914 whilst satan was still in heaven picking his nose.. how did we not see this and waste years of precious life?

Jehovah / Yahweh must really hate humans to banish Satan to earth when he could have sent him to the other side of the universe or just kill him .
He didn`t have to wait more than 6000 years to send him to earth did he.

The Passing of a GREAT Musician.....

i just found out this evening, may 27th, that the well-known greek musician, vangelis, passed away just last week.

may 17th, in fact.

he was 79 years old, which, well, as you know, is old.

I second that and thanks for posting titch,I wasn`t aware of his passing .
Sorry, I have to disagree with you that 79 is old .I consider 90 as being old but maybe that`s because I`ll soon be 83.

The short answer is NO
The bigger picture is you have to believe the Bible is a set of books inspired by a GOD.
I don`t.
The set of books are written by humans over a long period of time with scientific and geological inaccuracies as well as historical fallacies .
And humans are the ones that determined which books were to be included in the Bible and not a GOD ,and they don`t even agree on which books and what number of books were to be included
.I rest my case.
