Demons. Afraid or not?

when i was a jobot i had the fear of demons rammed down my throat.. now i am without any faith, i don't have that fear because it seems irrational.

a fairy tale from the minds of some weirdo.. now i don't have to worry about buying stuff 2nd hand.. it always amused me how some jobots would pooh pooh charity (goodwill to my american cousins), shops or 2nd hand shops in case demons inhabited a jumper or a chest of drawers.

yet at the same time they'd buy a 2nd hand car.

Before I became a JW, I was never in fear of Demons though brought up as a Christian going to Sunday school as an Anglican and Congregationalist and not being a practicing one once I became a teenager .

As a JW I was indoctrinated to have some fear of Satan and his Demons ? { How would a God of love allow such creatures to wreak havoc on his creation beats me }

After leaving the JW`s I`m back to not having any fear of Satan or his Demons .

Come to think of it ,the Bible has never instructed the Jewish people or Christians to be in fear of Satan or the Demons ? right ?

Watchtower Study on 5th December.

the wt study for this week is all about disfellowshipping.

in an early paragraph it said "think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!".

however when you think about it, when this happened according to the wt teaching, jehovah still engaged with satan in the heavens (book of job) and had conversations with him about what was going on in the earth.. so why do the wt org practice shunning when jehovah god obviously didn't?.

When you see what is happening now in Australia with detention camps is every reason there is never to give up your arms.

Sorry Simon, but that is a ridiculous statement to make and a complete misunderstanding of the situation here in Australia.

People ,whether they are black or white are required to isolate themselves away from the rest of the community if they are infected to protect the wider community and stop spreading the disease.

By far the majority abide by and respect that requirement and have no problem complying ,however there is always some idiot who doesn`t care if they are a threat to the health and well being of their fellow man ,and don`t care if they spread the virus.

this magazine says it all!.

and many of the older jws believed at one point in their life that they would make it through the great tribulation and into the 1000 year reign of christ without dying.

which is why so many jws stayed in so long.. is the main reason why jws ignore all the child abuse, the end of door to door service, and the closing of kingdom hall for almost two years----because they still believe they will not die?.

Of course we both did at one time ,but thankfully my wife and I are well and truly out as are other members of our family that I was instrumental in getting them involved are all out now.

Except for one niece who shuns us all.

No mate it was just Australian ex JW`s . What i liked about it was only members could see what you posted .

I`m always curious to know if anybody I knew has joined any of these ex sites ,not that I attend to visit them all mind you.

I was involved with 5 Cong`s in Melbourne ,and 3 in SEQld.in my 32 years as a JW.

I submitted another application with a little more detail just a few mins,ago and will let you know how that went .

I`m astounded by this number ,what`s your thoughts ? definite benefits for sure ,but what of the future ?

just this month, spacex deployed another 51 starlink satellites into orbit.. right now, there are nearly 6,000 satellites circling our tiny planet.

Now there`s a theme for budding authors on this forum .In the distant future there will be so much accumulative junk orbiting the Earth that it`s blocking out much of the Sun threatening life on the planet that is dying due to decreased sunlight.

Lost in the fog ,I also have brought up this point in previous posts , that Jehovah never shunned Satan and that Jesus never shunned Satan either , spending time with him and allowing himself to be tempted by Satan ?

And all Jehovah and Jesus did was cast him out of heaven thousands of years later ?

And the loving pair Jah and Jesus are, they sent him down here on Earth to cause more havoc for humans ?

Apparently neither of them have shunned him to this day and if they have, why send him down to earth ? there are plenty other places they could have sent him in the Universe where he couldn`t cause anymore trouble for humans.

If Ever GB Members Deserved To Be Thrown in Jail It's When ...

it was when the governing body started to disfellow-ship jehovah`s witnesses from taking blood transfusions in an effort to save their lives .. resulting in many hundreds if not thousands of needless deaths of men women and children who by this coercion died from this doctrine.. and to this day they still go unpunished .

And those individuals who subject their unborn to the same fate in the case of a pregnant woman whose life and possibly the babies as well by refusing a transfusion.?

And parents who decide against minor children having a blood transfusion and indoctrinate them to refuse a transfusion ?

All because some men dictate their interpretation of scripture and enforce those rules by threats of DF or DA and shunning if they disobey them and their interpretation.
