a couple of decades ago there were about 1200 people baptized every day as witnesses (on average).. a few years ago the co was glowing about 800 ones baptized per day.

hi friends i`ve finally got an appointment to go to hospital tomorrow ,pre-admission for my hip replacement surgery.. so if you don`t hear from me ever again ,it means i`ve carked it .lol, should i even joke about that ?.

It`s now been about 3-4 weeks since I`ve had the op and now having re-hab twice a week freebies.

You get six re-hab freebies post op.After that I will continue to join the mens gym for oldies at the health clinic.

Around the house I get around without crutches .Going outside I use one just as a safety measure.

I do exercises twice a day morning and afternoon and I feel 90% better than I did before the op and I have no pain which is a bonus.

At the moment I do have a dull ache in the hip which I manage through drugs but I notice it more during the night and I just have to get up and walk it through .

But I know that `s going to pass with time ,so long as I keep up with my exercising.

I now don`t have the pain or crippling I had before the op which was very painful.

.And I hope an encouragement for anyone having hip problems to go for the op ,it will change your life for the better.

My first Kingdom Hall zoom meeting

i haven't been to any meetings in the last 9 years.

besides a couple of elder visits here and there, i've been pretty much left alone.

my family has also left me alone, and haven't acted any different towards me.. this week my brother, his daughter and his son all called me to invite me for the next weeks memorial and also my nephew's first sunday talk, which he gave today at noon.

I DA`d myself a couple of years ago ,so I can understand why I`m not on their list ,but my wife has not done so ,so why wouldn`t she ever get a call.?

We have now been living here about 14 years now ,and nobody has ever wanted to speak with my wife .

Our niece lived here for many years and never contacted her to try to get her to go to meetings etc.?

This religion now, is not what I used to think it was !

But of course we all know now it is just another American man made religion like so many that was spawned in the 18th -19th Century .

Thank you all for your kind words and well wishes .Its been two weeks to the day that I had my OP and every thing seems to be going well.Outside the home I use two crutches and inside I use one crutch to get around.They get you up and walking with a walker the very next day and then exercises and walking everyday since.

I had a Titanium and plastic? hip replacement and I still feel pain/ache in my left hip/leg that is worse during the night and keeps me from getting a good nights sleep

Hopefully continuing with rehab that will soon pass.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts and well wishes

So far I havent had a bill and dont expect to get one thanks to the Govt and the health system .looking after pensioners.

Jehovah`s Credentials Fail or Pass

judging by jehovah gods past dealings with the israelite / jews , i wonder why anybody can take seriously anything that he has promised for the future .. or is it what humans want to believe he has in store for them ?.

during jehovah`s dealings with the israelites they had a leprosy colony in their midst .he didn`t do anything about that .. they had wars that he instigated and supported and people died on both sides of the wars.

Jehovah God is supposed to be the ultimate chemist in creating the universe and all he could do is carve out of stone ? the ten commandments .?

What did Jehovah God ever do technologically advanced in any field ,medicine etc. for their time,with the Israelites to set them apart from other people for his namesake? Nothing . zilch ,zero.

Why would anybody believe what imperfect humans today claim God is going to do this or that ?

Obviously God cannot speak for himself.

And apparently Jesus Christ can`t either .

Yet both of them supposedly had no trouble communicating with us in years gone by.

i am not saying all jw congregants are pessimistic, but i would go as far to say all pimi jw congregants are pessimistic.. why do i say this, my wife is my measuring stick.

she has barely an optimistic bone in her being.

she will only focus on the bad parts of anything.

As most of these posts are over a year old I would like to hear an update regarding these posts ?

Whats the situation like now in Canada ? Quebec for instance ? Was it the 60`s - 70`s when a lot was going on with the Govt. and JW`s then if I remember rightly.
