  Angela Sdrisis ,told ABC news reporter "it has been going on far too long" the lawyer involved in the case.

  And ain`t that the truth .

  I`m thinking that if the Borg signs up to the Redress Scheme ,they will be admitting there is a problem with child sex abuse in the organization and also admitting it`s not Apostate lies, as they have been telling the congregants for so long. ?

  It could be a twofold effect on WT ,in that they wont get Govt. funds as a Charitable Institution and they would also have to pay taxes themselves.

  And that`s going to hit where it hurts ? loss of income . YEAAAAAA

  A Salute to Petra/Atlantis

  whilst i have never quite understood whether petra and atlantis are one or multiple entities i recognise the value of their work and web of contacts.

  i think it is fair to say that no-one has consistently contributed more solid gold intelligence to this site.

  no one has reliably passed on more bomb shells and solid news as well as day to day minutiae.

  What I want to know is why does the date keep on changing ?

  Wasn`t the deadline December the 31st? and wasn`t that after it had been changed once or twice before ?

  In it the GB helper rails against many major apostate talking points, mentioning specifically the criticisms of how child abuse cases are handled, the financial cutbacks and downsizing, dogmatic statements of prophecy made in literature in the past, and more.

  Isn`t that enough to start some serious questioning of what one was lead to believe ?

  Maybe it could be a wake up call for some ? hopefully .

  my recollection of cos were they may have been very low paid almost volunteers..but they werent poor.

  most appeared well dressed.

  i knew a few..and they were well connected with wealthy famlies.

  As is normal with human nature there are many people who look up to other people with popularity or position / prominence in an organization ,and Jehovah`s witnesses have been no exception.

  CO`s and DO`s have been well looked after by the rank and file believing they may have been entertaining Angels as the scriptures indicate .

  Jehovah`s Witnesses are more SUPERSTITIOUS than they care to admit.

  Christendom puts their emphasis on the name of Jesus that relates very well with what the new Testament is all about . Phil.2: 10,11

  Jehovah`s Witnesses put their emphasis on the name given to the Old Testament God that is not given prominence in the New Testament as the name Jesus is.

  Children of Jehovah`s Witnesses should be taught to become friends of Jesus because he is the only one for you to become friends with Jehovah.

  What useful piece of literature have the JW produced?

  seeing on another post here about former jws throwing away literature.

  i am curious as to the various opinions on there value.. for me i have been inactive for 3 years almost 4. i still have alot of books and of course all their bibles ever produced (except a few from the 1800s.).

  in my opinion i think there are four books the jws produced that are useful:.

  I personally would not throw anything out before 2000.

  Correct me if I am wrong ,but I think the WT Organization has instructed congregations to destroy all of their old literature that they still have in there libraries ? Didn`t I read that somewhere on this forum ?

  The JW / WT religion are masters at re-writing their past history and getting rid of anything that can be embarrassing to them at any given time....And there has been a bloody lot .LOL

  Thanks be to the Internet that is going to go a long way in their fading into non existance .

  The more of their old literature that we can remind them of the better .

  also a large cardboard box full of old congregation records. i never kept a single thing.

  A pity about that my friend ,there could have been some very useful info in those records ,never mind ,I found it interesting you were never a JW ,yet have learned a lot about the religion since your dad going into a care home

  .It wasn`t one sponsored by a religious institution was it .? LOL

  Not meaning to be disrespectful there ,but it `s funny how JW`s abuse Christendoms religions all of their lives then depend on them when they become old and frail ,because the WT/JW religion wont take care of them..
