On the one hand Satan is the GOD of this system of things ,yet on the other hand Jehovah placed the superior authorities in { this system of things } place that Christians were to be in subjection to. 2Cor.4:4 , ---Rom.13:1-5 ????

Needing to Questions Elders to Help Husband Understand
by Unlikely-pack-6349 inmy husband insist that i talk to the elders.
it is something i 100% plan on doing for the simple fact of my relationship with him.
i know some of you may disagree but it seems like the best option for us.. problem/question: .

Your husband insisting that you talk to elders implies he is not comfortable, assured or committed to the JW beliefs or the other concerns you wish to raise, otherwise, he should be able to discuss those matters without needing other men to intervene on his behalf.
He knows doing personal research into the concerns you raise will require effort on his part which may lead to his own questions and doubts. By insisting you meet with the elders, he is attempting to take the easy route as he knows he will not need to put in any effort and, they will attempt to change your thinking, not his.
Incognito has summed it up perfectly.
As others have said do not meet with the Elders. The religion to him is not based on doctrines or even a true understanding of what he is supposed to believe.IT`s based on emotion and a feel good utopian religion.
Rather than him making you talk to Elders I would suggest you put the onus on him to read Don Camerons excellent book "Captives of A Concept " available on-line and is very cheap to download ,and if that doesn`t open his eyes ,then the options are yours.
I wish you well .
Edit to say : Welcome to the forum.

Dutch JW publish open letter protesting accusations of mishandling child abuse and government inquiry
by Anders Andersen intoday watchtower netherlands published an open letter in a national newspaper, lamenting the accusations about them not handling child abuse issues very well.. they protest a scientific report made by utrecht university (by request of the government).. they protest almost everything our minister of justice has said about them.. they place themselves in the role of victims of unfair treatment, discrimination.. they point their finger a other religions (foremost the catholic church) because they are much worse.. they refer to jw being persecuted in wwii, as if that were relevant to the issue at hand.. all in all, they (probably) spent about 25k to 30k euro to publish their bullshit in a national newspaper.. not a single trace of any self-awareness, let alone even a hint of an apology.
quite the contrary.. they suck.. the minister of justice tweeted "this is exactly the problem: they spend money on lawsuits and expensive ads instead of improving help for victims #fail".. see the translation of the jw letter here: https://www.reddit.com/r/exjw/comments/ilair1/open_dutch_letter_a_little_better_english.

REVISITING Awake October 1968 and the "THIS GENERATION" in association with OVERLAPPING GENERATION and THESE GENERATIONS
by Longlivetherenegades inthe former image was obtained from a topic in the humor and joke section of this platform and it seems to carry a underground information that is equally powerful.. since a food company had been producing a particular product for four generations since 1914, how come the wtbts publishing company are still producing for a one generation since 1914?.
awake october 1968 stated............ even if we presume that youngsters 15 years of age would be perceptive enough to realize the import of what happened in 1914, it would still make the youngest of "this generation" nearly 70 years old today(year 1968).
so the great majority of the generation to which jesus was referring has already passed away in death.

Jesus said: "This generation" not, these overlapping generations.
But of course JW`s have to twist the scriptures to fit their absurd doctrines and failed prophecies .
Luke Chap.3: 23-38 lists 76 generations from Adam creation to the birth of Jesus a period of 4024 years according to WT chronology.
4024 divided by 76 = 53 years., One generation ! There are many more scriptures that give the same ball park figure for one generation .

Today's WT Study: "Return to Jehovah" - Lots of Elephants in the Room
by Room 215 intoday's article prods active jws to participate in the effort to reactivate us backsliders.. unfortunately, it fails to prepare the participants to adequately address the real reasons so many have left and want nothing frtherethan to be left alone: the un and child abuse scandals, prophetic failures; dumbed-down, increasingly specious and simplistic verbiage in literature and talks, the cult of personality and unwarranted veneration of those 8 singularly unremarkable members of the gb, etc., etc..

How Long Is Forever?
by HiddenPimo inimagine you have a spoon and you dig out one scoop of soil from the ground in central new york.
then you put that soil in a bag and carry it with you as you travel from there to the grand canyon.
you repeat these steps until you have created another grand canyon in new york and filled the original one in arizona.

Currently at the "Congregation Bible Study" (or Bible study without the Bible) "Jesus-The Way, the Truth, the Life" book is examined.
I`ve been out for nearly 30 years and i find that book or should I say the title of the book to be a misnomer if that`s the right word. Since when have they ever highlighted JESUS in their teachings ?
It`s always been about Jehovah this Jehovah that , Jehovah ,Jehovah,Jehovah, never about JESUS.

He said he couldn’t do that because they weren’t in his congregation. (Both congregations are less than a 10 minute drive from my house.) I replied, “That’s funny, because that’s exactly what the elders in their congregation said to me—they couldn’t help because I’m not in their congregation!” (I had previously taken the initiative to contact the elders in my family’s congregation asking for help to reconcile our broken relationships. The elders in that congregation refused using the lame excuse I mentioned above.)
I have experienced the very same thing ,if your no longer in any of their congregations and in another state or territory they don`t want to know you ,your not their responsibility anymore.
And as you say ,"so much for an international brotherhood"

Cowardly Change of Policy in the UK
by Slidin Fast inthe britain branch has called a confidential meeting tonight with a controversial announcement.
the message is of such import that it was transmitted by word of mouth only, nothing in writing, ears only.
a decision made by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and transmitted orally down the chain of command, a decision proving the leadership of this spirit lead body.. the gdpr laws in the uk have been interpreted by wt lawyers so that all record keeping relating to the public has been banned, telephone witnessing and letter writing also, forbidden.. now in a show of supreme bravado the publishers are to be informed that if they wish to, if they dare, they may write to people at their own risk.. bear in mind, nothing is in writing.

I am in Australia and I have received a letter like this.....Addressed to the householder. "As one of your neighbours I am concerned" etc, etc.,with a leaflet "Who Controls The World",Then refers to JW.ORG and the local Congregation on the back of the envelope.
The writer only gives a first name and no personal contact number for her.
Is the same thing happening here ?
Edit to add: If she really beleived her Bible she would know that the GOD of the Bible rules the world Rom.13:1-7
