  November issues of magazines

  usually a november issue of the watchtower carries the annual "begging letter" type article, detailing the various ways that donations can be made to the wts e.g.

  wills, loans, etc .

  ok, let's assume this "horse" is flatulent, and stop examining this end.

  we walk around to the other side of this horse, pet him on the nose, and feed him some sugar.

  thus, steering a contentious issue away from its negative side, and paying attention to the positive side, the question begs: what sort of people will not be destroyed by god?

  If You're Not Sure, It's Better To Disfellowship!!

  elders were told, a few years ago that it is better to be merciful and err in the way of giving the benefit of the doubt than to disfellowship a person that was truly repentant, even though you had some reservations.

  then, a sudden shift from the society was given.

  if you weren't 100% sure that the person was truly sorry, and if you had some reservations, just disfellowship the person!

  If all this Df stuff and judging crap was from God,I think God would make sure the elders knew what to do.

  Scriptures say,the "meek" will inherit the earth the earth.The wicked will be destroyed....in noahs days....was it a religion that survived?In sodomn and ...(G sp?) was that people in religion that survived?I don't think so,it was people who followed God's laws.Not a religion,all they had to do was stop what they were doing and walk into an ark or walk away from their immoral lives.I'll say there is some restrictions to live by God's laws.I read the bible and try my best to live by God's word.

  I'll never believe in religion.....I have the truth,and you don't...thing again.I don't think,one religion on this earth has full truth and..... I think they all have some truth.Man made religion and I don't feel Jesus came to earth to make religion.

  I will not go beyond the scriptures and I will not follow man again.

  I think our bodies are what we worship God in,not a place.I feel the bible was written for guidence and for faith.God telling us what to do to be saved.

  I know God is there and he loves the "meek" ones who are "seeking" him.

  O.K I babbled enough and I'll be back again sometime to babble some more.

  ummmmm,the booze is only tempary,if you fall on that,you can replace one addication with another.(spelling is bad )

  A question for you....

  i just got to wondering this, after reading the post by the girl who is thinking of joining the wts..... (this would be for those who became a jw by choice - not birth, tho of course, anyone here can comment).. i'm wondering, what kind of christian were you prior to your conversion to the wts?.

  you can give your denomination if you choose.

  but what i'm really asking about is what was your experience with religion, in general?.

  Did you go to church?

  Before I became a JW,I went to other churches when I was a young girl but I didnot learn any doctrine and the reasoning behind their doctrines.

  Did you go to Sunday School?

  I went to bible school,it was more fun than,sitting down learning about the bible.

  Were you passionate about it? Bored silly?

  I wasn't ither one

  Was your family religious?

  No,my mother was and still is a God loving person but has no faith in religion...I think I'm following her steps.

  Did you celebrate holidays? Was that a religious experience or a social event?

  Yes,I did ,it was a social and family thing.

  Did you ever go through that 'teen stage' when people people start looking around at all different kinds of religions?

  Yes,thats why I became a JW......

  Did you ever go through that stage when kids start to question what they were brought up on? And start to doubt everything they think they know?

  I had no real bibical knowledge,just the JW teachings.Its just now I'm learning other faiths.

  If you did, how did the people close to you react?

  When I became a JW,my mother never perscuted me,she just didn't want me shoving it in her face.I had other family members wanting me to leave.

  Did religion matter to you? At all? A lot?

  Yes,not too much.I have a spiritual longing ,but no religion.
