Has Anyone Invited You to the Memorial?

the memorial is on in just over two weeks' time, and i was wondering:.

has anyone invited you to the memorial yet?.

my old cong knows my address and phone number yet no-one has visited or phoned to invite me.

I guess my family will not be invited, since our little family is suppose to be the most 'dangerous apostates' in Utah. Last years gossip was we were suppose to have had a huge gathering at our home to celebrate our own special memorial. We had a few laughs over that. My question is, if the JWs were at the memorial how would they know what was going on at my home? Another good question is, Were we even home that night? I love their lies, cause it keeps them away from me. But, this is the fuel that keeps the JWs strong.

Maybe this year we should send out invitations to quite a few JWs and see what will happen. No, bad idea, my time and money (stamps, envelope, spit) is too valuable. They'll just have to sip and chip without us again and I could care less.

Life goes on without the WTBTS.

Boosting Memorial Attendance

it would be standing room only if someone in every area were to go down to the local skid row and put the word out that there's free wine and crackers and all they need to do is sit there politely and it'll come right to 'em.... jrig

Yep, that would be a hoot, but think about how many would be approached with an offer of a free home bible study. Oops, but they wouldn't have a home would they? So, yeah, it is a good idea.

My heart hurts for this Dad. He is suffering, but think of how he would be sufferring now if he had allowed her to die. It would be so nice if we could contact him and give him LOVING support. Letters and cards of support would be nice, but until then let us all send our prayers. The depression he is going through will be unbearable and we all know he will not get it from the cong. and all those he loves.

Thankyou for wishing us a happy weekend. I hope this for you also. I feel that you are quite nervous about your meeting to be reinstated and I feel deeply for you. This is a decision that you can only make (excuse me the elders can make). I've read the other post and about how they feel. You are the only one who truly knows what you need and why. This could be very positive for you if you are reinstated. You have taken in quite a bit of new and 'accurate' knowledge and by returning you may now look at things in an entirely differnt 'light'. One poster referred to you as an idiot(vulgar)for wanting to go back, however, if you have doubts you could never be complete and would always question your relationship with Jehovah. I know this must be extremely tough for you. My dear, you are tougher than some think and I hope things work out well for you. Remember love shows itself in many forms, but true love has only one. I wish you well and that you will have the strength and courage to endure whatever may come your way. What I would personally do, has nothing to do with what you personally need to do.

JW "Prince" buys mansion in Toronto

just heard on the news this evening that musician-turned jw 'formerly known as prince' has purchased a mansion in the bridlewood neighbourhood of toronto.. purchase price is reported at $5.5 million (canadian$).. but, will he come to the next apostofest??.

Oh, Nathan, you made me laugh. I often thought why hadn't some super fine 'RICH' JW not purchased this spectacular home in CA. Then I realized that most JWs don't know anything about the Beth-Sarim Mansion. Can you imagine owning this and having the CO & PO along with some other prominant JWs in the area over and then start to give a personal guided tour to them? Can you imagine when these folks hear about the history of this fine Mansion? Oh, my heavens, I can just see them all running and tripping over each other trying to get out.
Can you imagine the JUDICIAL Committee that would have to be formed?
Damn! I hate being poor.

Woman runs down man in car leaves him 2 die

this is awful, a woman hits a homeless man, and hes lodged in her windshield bleeding ot death with 2 broken legs, and she drives all the way home, leaves him in her garage and calls friends to find out what to do, and they tell her to dump him somewhere... so he bleeds to death in her garage and she dumps his body in a park.

and while he was in the garage one of the first things she did was have sex with her boyfriend.. blegh..i'm appaled that this could happen anywhere in the world.

INHUMANE! Her actions show that she is one self-centered, uncaring piece of FECAl matter. I can't even leave an injured animal on the side of the road to die. What's her lawyer thinking....She admits she was drunk; she admits she was on the influence of an illegal drug(that supposedly increases sexual desire), she admits that she had sex(self-gratification)while this PERSON was going thru unexplanable HELL. She along with her friends plotted to do away with the body...and her lawyer can justify this. I have mixed emotions with the Andrea Yates situation, however, she was emotionally and mentally sick. I feel so for these children, but at least she didn't run them down and have them as decorative items in her windshield until she could find away to throw their little bodies in a park...she did call the police.

This gal is a piece of work as are her friends who helped her. Pathetic!!

How many of us have had issues with Blood??

how many of us have had a problem with the blood issue when you were a dub??

what help were the elders in the cong?.

are you still opposed to taking blood??

I faced the blood issue 2 months before my baptism in June of 85. I was pregnant with twins. I'd been having problems already and had been on my back for 2 weeks. The elders wanted me to come over so they could go over my first set of questions for baptism. My husband took me, I did great, the elders you think would have come to my home, huh. Right after we left I started bleeding profusely. I miscarried the twins and my blood count dropped to a 4 or 6. No elders or anyone (we were new to the area)came to visit. On the way to the hospital my husband dropped our 2 year old off at a sisters house. My hubby was so scared, he said he was scared I was going to die and he didn't know how he was going to face our son and tell him he didn't have a Mommy anymore. Afterwards, my JW Mother-in-law told me that losing the twins was for the best and that Jehovah knows what is best. It killed me to hear this garbage, it hurt too bad. I'm crying as I write this. I didn't know it would still hurt after all these years. The sad thing is I would have died thinking I had God's approval. The saddest thing is if I had died my poor hubby might have ended up marrying a REAL Witness Witch and just think of what my poor little boy would have had to suffer through.

My heart bleeds no more for the Org.
