my spouse felt a need to tell to elders about me reading apostate websites and speaking against wt stuff , so they'll probably try to readjust my apostate thinking any time soon.

my spuse never see me reading anything but, during our arguments i did't keep my mouth shut and she knows that i had to read it somwhere and it wasn't jw.org.

could this get my in the trouble if my spose is the only witness and never spoke to another person about this stuff ?

You have 2 seperate issues here, one is your spouse telling other people about private conversations, the second is the elders getting onto you about your doubts.

What is your desired outcome? If you want to continue to fade then admitting to personal study and looking at newspaper articles and wikipedia is not going to cause too much trouble for you, agree to only do the study they 'allow' you to. I'm assuming you have family who are JWs hence the fade, if not then why put off the inevitable?

With your spouse, what is your desired outcome? Keeping secrets? Or being open and sharing? Have you looked at Steve Hassans books about helping people escape a cult? It may take time, if you want to save them then appeal to their real personality, not the cult one. This is not going to be easy, you will need patience.

Dating Advice needed

well i joined two dating sites yesterday and i have had lots of messages.

a couple of guys want to chat to me by phone to get to know me better.

Enjoy your coffee, just let the conversation flow. Tell him the response you've had on the dating sites, see how he reacts. Talk about your likes and dislikes etc., you'll see pretty quickly if you click. There's no need to rush anything, just have fun. I'd stay away from the religion discussion initially as you are still only just out and he might find he's a counsellor instead of a date.

What are the consequences if a JW files for an unscriptural divorce?

in january my wife separated from me, because she views me as an apostate (to make the story short).. at that time the elders explained to us, that the bible doesn't approve of such a separation.

i heard from my mother in law, that my wife finally wants to divorce.

(when i think of how my wife treated me the last year i actually want a divorce too).. now my question to you:.

I'm a bit rusty, but I would reckon the only thing would be her being counselled and that's it. She cannot remarry until you have been 'scripturally' unfaithful!

Wondering what you guys think about child abuse...

to start off, i'm not saying this happens, or doesn't.

i'm just a bit confused on the subject, and what you guys are always talking about.

what exactly is it with the wt on the issue of child abuse?

What do I think about WTS and child abuse? It frightens them, surely someone destined for 'everlasting life in paradise' wouldn't commit such a crime! therefore they do not view it as a crime, instead act as if it doesn't happen. I am a survivor of this crime, my abuser was eventually DF'd but when reinstated I was told I had to "move on" as everyone else had, and I was told I couldn't warn anyone about my abuser. Recently the police asked the elders about my case, they refused to cooperate, this after I was told that they would handle things 'by the book'.

I deactivated in 2011 after having been very active, was left alone until end of 2013, I then DA'd, the difference is huge to me and has given me my freedom mentally.

The title of the thread asked, what would you tell them, not what would you ask, so I would tell them:

1. You are being used by men not god

2. Don't believe anything that you are told and half of what you see, search it out for yourself

The OP then asked what would you ask:

1. Why are elders instructed not to co-operate with cases of child abuse when questioned by the police?

2. When does a loving father stop being a loving father?
