First, I'd change my phone number. Second, I would practice saying "no" for hours, in preparation for all of the hands that will show up all of a sudden.
Then I'd buy a box of donuts and start enjoying the good life!
in the us, our mega millions lottery jackpot has reached over 1billion dollars!
what would you do if you won?
i think i’d run public service announcements on television, alerting people of the dangers of the wt cult, among other things.

it seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.
who is the way, the truth and the life?
(john 14:6).
The WTS's argument is that any changes to the Bible did not change the meaning of the texts, and so the message remains as it always was. That certainly would not apply if the name of god had been removed from all of the NT texts. If your mission is to establish the worship of the true god, and that god's name has been wiped from the sacred texts you use to make your case... you cannot make your case.
I mean, if the devil can make it so the name of god is removed from his own letters to mankind, then what changes and alterations are beyond his ability?

”If you were truly abused yourself, then you should feel some sympathy towards children who have their accusations of abuse ignored of even silenced…”
That's him in a nutshell. Incapable of sympathy or empathy, convinced that he knows better than someone who experienced what he did not, gaslighting someone who claims to have been an abuse victim. And unafraid to show this side of himself to the world, because he does not really understand how it looks to everyone else, because he is the center of everyone's universe.
100% sociopath.

Kim: What?!?! Seriously…..when did he say that? omg, I was a naive a x way to trusting/believing JW
Most (if not all) of us were. If I'd heard Losche say that when I was PIMI, I would have nodded in agreement. They didn't just organize our lives, they spoke our thoughts for us. It's not really a surprise why so many remain in cults; what you see from the outside is very different from what they perceive on the inside.

I also think that as things calm down and he focuses on just making topical videos, he will see a bit of rebound on the Patreon numbers. I don't think he'll recover anywhere near the old numbers, because his own words will haunt him from now on and there's a relatively small audience for his brand of anti-JW content. And he cannot bear to let his critics win, even though he gave them all of the ammunition they hit him with, so he will find ways to keep the matter alive even when it is detrimental to him and his work.
Plus, he's a sexual deviant and disgusting creep who can't help himself (by his own admission) as well as a glory hound who will readily throw friends under the bus and mistreats people who are trying to help him. I mean, no one thinks that he's done being an unfaithful scumbag, do they? No one believes that he'll learn to be discreet, right? He'll find a way to humiliate himself and his family again. Just give him time.

She is an attractive young woman. Her pose in the photo would be a welcome sight to a boyfriend. If she knows about Lloyd Evans' decision that self-control is for dummies, then her photo is an invitation.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw that first tweet above. A vulnerable person (with no one else to turn to) throws herself at his feet, and just happens to use an avatar pic of an attractive woman in a tight dress and suggestive pose. If I was Evans, that would scream "set up" to me.
i thought it was just me that had a negative view of people who proclaim themselves to be activists.. but no, it seems i'm not alone!.
.
The phrase 'aggressive activism' seems like a redundant term, since activism is itself an aggressive approach to an issue. And that is probably why the poll shows such a negative view of it. Like LUHE said, I tend to think of activists as people who are so focused on an issue that they lose any sense of balance and annoy/anger everyone by never turning their activism off. Like Evans, most activists feel empowered by their self-identification- being an activist means you are doing something important and meaningful with your life, unlike the uncaring plebes all around you. It's almost designed for narcissistic personalities.

How is it that they are aware that the changes are going to create not only questions but also doubts?
This is pretty significant. As you noted, the GB normally takes the position that they are to be trusted and their interpretations accepted under the threat of disfellowshipping. Yet here, they are anticipating pushback, but not taking their usual hardline stance. They seem to realize that they are taking a step that will be very controversial. Telling the KHs to close their bank accounts means they want every last cent going directly to the HQ.
And with what appears to be an automated online system of deposits, they'll also be able to know which congregations are being generous and which ones are lagging on donations. What happens when people figure that out? And how do you guarantee that unscrupulous brothers don't start to skim off the top when they are turning physical cash deposits into digital online transactions?
