something i've always wanted to do is take some trip overseas to another country.
england has always been my first choice.. now i'm in a position to actually take a vacation in england.
i looked at some prices on expedia.com for airline/hotel combos for a week's trip to england and what i found made me very hopeful about going.. i tentatively "planned" the trip on the website for around the last part of february or the first part of march since that would be in the "slow" season at work and they could spare me.
Do go a see London.Its one of the best cities in the world , that is unless you hate cities which some people do.I personnally find them amazing places.
Plenty of art galleries and musems amazing architecture and history , dont confine yourself to the centre though theres lots of "villages' to explore in london.

Basically the entire human race when taken as a whole does things I disagree with , and are potentialy dangerous to me , they do not all effect me on a pearsonal level, some will some wont, some I may even have a part in.
Most jw's are trying to lead a lifestyle they believe is right , but that can cause harm to others if taken too far.Most westerners are leading a lifestyle that has the potential to destroy the earth.
Jw's do bad things , but as far as I can see so do a lot of other people , JW's are not a major threat to the earth or the survival of mankind .
But they have had a big impact on our lives , so we focus on them.
Hell my school failed me I didn't need JW's to do that.Who was worse my school for not giving me an education or the society for not encouraging me?
We , all humans do things that harm others , sometimes we call them our rights sometimes they are other peoples wrongs.
Jw's are in my opinion wrong and harmful but so are a lot of other things.But Jw's aren't doing anything oustandingly harmful (at the moment ) to the earth and human race that many others arent doing worse.

I feel you must look at human history and what people will do due to peer pressure , and flawed logic and understanding.
How did German populance alow the holocost , were that group of humans born at that perticular time different to the rest?No.What happened was down to the makeup of the human mind , no different than ours, only very few awer able to break free.
But even then who is to say what is right.The death penalty, owning guns , age of consent , prisons , big business millions of other things.How many battles am I to fight if i want the world to fit my standards?
I feel that most humans if brought up as witnesses would just do the same.That is my point .
Jehovahs witnesses are doing what most humans do , in that particular situation.
That does not meen I agree, Hell I left and have a LOT of anger for my mispent youth.

But this does not only happen to ex-JWS, and not to all ex-JWS.
The point is that there is no universal standard of conduct or rules for living , people have as much right as anyone else to believe what they wish, no matter how daft I think it is.Jehovahs witnesses wnt be the only people to get on my tit's in this Life.

where has it gone, well it's still there it just that it filled with 27 years of watchtower crap and i've got nowhere to put it, after all i can't take it out and put it in a jar, without some serious side effects.. just hope i've got enought brian left to take me through the rest of my life.. but seriously(ahem) how does being fed seriously mind bending "facts' for all your life , from a little baby,effect our brains, and the way we carry on to think for the rest of our lives?does our brian find a way to ciurcumnavigate round the things it no longer needs?and does any extra effort we would need "forget' our past hinder the performance of our minds?is this what a mental breakdown is, where our brain can no longer cope and crashes like a dogy computer?i wonder..
