long story short she claims elders are generally hardier on women than men.
Little men trying to get thier "fix of power" before they leave the hall and are back in the real world cleaning windows or doing some other low paid, un important job.
Thats the way I always saw it anyway, When I look back at the elders who disfellowshiped me one was a door to door salesman (yes really!) one was a wheelie bin cleaner and the third was unemployed.
They abuse the position of relative power to feel more important, a bit like children playing make believe.

Wow, i thought my story of the visiting elder whos talk consisted of alot of swearing waa a good story but that tops it! whats korah though?
i took your advise and found someone who could help and was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.
has anyone else been this route and have some positive feedback or been thru this?.
I have PTSD after several tours of actice duty and suffer with severe anxiety as a result.
Therapy is a great start but the real help will come from yourself one day.

ive been reading through this forum for a while and thought i should contribute!.
so im df, i was very involved regular pioneer for several years and i slowly started to wake up.. my exprience of leaving is horendous and contains alot of shocking (but apparently not that rare in the orgs) judicials and various encounters with the elders.. ive been out 10 years now and at 27 loving life!
running a succesful business and dont all thay materialistic stuff thata frowned apon, like providing my wife and kids with a nice car and house!

It took me several years to realise that i was actualy a lucky one! i was able to get out and start a new life.
Alot of my family dont talk to me still but thats become less important over the years.
I have a few ex jw friends from my old hall most just faded. one DF for calling the police.
