  What Were Your Elders Real World Jobs?

  we all know that education is severely demonized in this religion.

  and that the elders are appointed based on how many meetings they attend, hours they put in on the ministry and general attitude to other elders (as apposed to, you know, actual theological training and counseling) - so my question is, what were your elders occupations outside the kingdom hall?.

  l was working for a roof restoration company back in the mid eightys as a salesman.Door to door high pressure selling and the work being done was of a very poor standard.l recall counting 20 elders at a sales meeting all learning how to con unsuspecting home owners into having something done that wasn't necessary..

  so... i live in mexico and i am helping with an esl class (english as a second language).

  actually, i am helping with two classes.

  i get two days a week in which i just stand there and have a debate with the class, encouraging as many as possible to just talk... in english.. anyways, i like talking about subjects that generate debate.

  This book is a real eye opener and every dub should read it asap if they dont want to waste the rest of their lives.

  i wouldn't mind if he slept through eternity (he sleeps most of the time anyway).

  Whilst sitting at meetings as a child against my will to be there l would think of all the reasons why l considered this religion to be a false .l loved my pets as a child as l still do and anyone that has pets know what lm talking about.The witnesses preached that in the paradise There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things ... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more ... Death shall be no more; nor sorrow, nor wail of woe, nor pain; for the first things ..So l reasoned that people will still have pets in the paradise and will love their pets so how will they react when a pet dies?A natural response would be to mourn that death and shed tears.Alarm bells went off in my head.How could you not react to the death of your beloved pet.?

  hi guys , i know i was never a favorite here and haven't posted in awhile ... question .

  what do you think of the new understanding of , " this generation " they seem to go in circles on this one big time , once 1914 generation was almost gone they said they didn't know what it meant and now in the new publication the generation includes the second generation after 1914 .... i agree they don't know what they are talking about and this is just another control move .

  any comments ?.
