  a new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.

  wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.

  that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.

  Avoiding Temptation As a Young Elder

  it was the summer of '72.

  i was 24 but had been the presiding overseer or congregation servant of a small congregation in the county seat of an arkansas county for about 3 years.. my regular pioneer wife of nearly four years was big and pregnant, with our attempts at birth control unsuccessful.. one of my wife's several bible studies was with a young woman named brenda whom my wife had encountered in door to door work.. brenda had two young children she could barely handle and was married to a very countryfied arkie named henry who worked as a chicken catcher, one of the most difficult jobs at the local chicken plant.. brenda eventually revealed that she'd been raised as a jw, but was never baptized, having left home to marry henry at age 14. she spoke of her family in texas, mentioning her mother and two older sisters, all jws she said.. one morning, just before the meeting for field service, we noticed a small car in kingdom hall parking lot.

  my wife and i were parked to one side of the hall in our aluminum nashua house trailer.. two young women got out of the car and soon joined us for the meeting for service, identifying themselves as brenda's sisters from texas.. the two girls, ages 17 and 20, were distractingly beautiful, with the eldest decked out like a magnificent southern belle including hat and heels, her high-end clothing accentuating her very obvious curves.. with no one else showing up for field service, it ended up just the four of us in the car group with the two texas girls in the back seat.. starting our time at a not-at-home, the 20 year old asked if she could accompany me to "hear my presentation.

  There is definitely a sexual component to the wt religion. females will have skewed preferences based on status in the hierarchy (hormones at work). good news for otherwise beta to omega males.

  some jws realize that the sheep are supposed to be meek and put up and shut up, victims will be blamed by the wt writers, hounders, so these jw non-christians think they can get away with being rude, even exploitive, and enjoy that freedom to the hilt.

  you are also not supposed to sue your brother or sister, so that perceived immunity extends into the court system, the police in case of serious wrongdoing done to the docile.

  "making known the name" does not mean plastering it all over the landscape, and using it at as an adjective, rather , since Jesus never used the name, but "Father", even "Eli" instead, it must mean explaining, making manifest, all what the name stands for.

  “there is nothing more ironic and curious than a trapper being caught in his own trap or a plot backfiring.

  ironic justice is the best revenge.” the inventor of the brazen bull, one if the most heinous torture devices in history was tricked to go inside of it and died of the torture he created.. probably one of the greatest movies ever made features revenge as its theme: once upon a time in the west.

  sadly in this movie the main character doesn’t rely on ironic justice happening by god or chance.

  the wt org claims that the lamb's marriage will happen after armageddon, despite the fact that revelation 19 very clearly says that the lamb's marriage happens after the destruction of babylon the great.

  and that after the lamb's marriage he with heavenly armies will go to destroy the wicked.. the wt claims that the order of events in revelation 19 is not really in that order referring to psalm 45. but i can't find in psalm 45 any explicit contradiction to revelation 19. .

  wt believes in a second fulfillment of Math 24, 25.

  Jesus said that the generation would only pass away after the end, aka armageddon. so: according to that angle, the marriage can only happen with the full bride up there. during the cleanup here on Earth. but ' wt also says, that

  the generation of anointed dies and goes to heaven before The GT gets serious, Babylon tG is attacked, so they could get married anytime after. If the great crowd are the brides maids, that can only happen after Ar ma geddon, because wt teaches that the GC, comes out of the GT, which has not happened yet, so the Great Crows does not officially exist yet. their fudging that notwithstanding.

  For these 2 reasons, wt has to conclude that the wedding is later rather then hurried.

  is there is any benefit for any humans to know such a detail, other than satisfying some curiosity?

  Disillusioned JW: Of course we do not know, , but it is beneficial to rub these details and their ramifications in on those still hanging on to the illusion of wt being relevant.

  so imagine a bride going into battle with her fiancee, or marrying before the combat starts. or even leaving all the fighting to the lesser angels, and marry when the melee is over, all in various wt or scriptural teachings. now:

  this is very convincing when reading bible prophecy and history to back up prophecy as represented in the bible.

  famine, disease, war in connection with the white horses’s rider?

  Fisherman, some of the bible was written by astute observers, war, famine, disease have always had a close connection. still do *. Witness the conflicts since 1914. Fighting in Ukraine causes food shortages in Africa. world wide horsing around. As the planet gets more crowded, conflicts will become more frequent, we might even see more "civil" wars.

  Hopefully history will repeat itself and the fighters (the dinosaurs) armed to the teeth, will be wiped out, the squirrels, that had stuff squirrelled away, will inherit the Earth . so,

  be realistic and squirrel away treasures in heaven, Musk has it wrong, he is aiming only for Mars. ha ha.

  According to wt writers, the "bride" has been arriving in her heavenly quarters since 1918. Some after a long "sleep" (latest wt doctrine has it that most will be on hold in the hotel for up to 160 years) .

  Others going instantly from being part of the F&D Slave class ( now just partakers) to immortal fiancees in waiting.

  Wt now has that 'extended 1918 resurrection event' finishing at the start of the great tribulation, by then, all partakers will be gone upward, becoming immortal.

  Will this truly invincible army of 144 001 warriors be married or not? a husband and wife or husband and fiancee team?

  If the last world war is an indication, couples got married in a hurry before combat, often to make sure the groom had possible offspring. No such concerns for immortals in heaven. But be that as it may:

  The real killer of wt doctrine in this prophetic metaphor is their "anointed generation" spiel.

  Jesus said the generation will only pass away, go to heaven, after all has happened. Jesus' generation are earthly "armageddon" survivors. In contrast, the wt generation of 1914 are the new recruits of the immortal combatants. so: there are 3 choices,

  An engaged couple fighting the enemy,

  a married couple fighting or

  a couple, 1444 000 and one groom getting married after the battle. The answer my friend is written in the wind.

  fisherman, the bible is a mere 10 billion years out, a number with 10 zeros, about the beginning of the earth, when the universe was made out of nothing aka energy .

  If nature has it's course it will turn into nothing aka energy again in time.

  The earth according to the bible is hung on nothing too, really it is energy that expressed as velocity , that keeps it from falling into the sun. so.

  with a dismal record like that, why would the bible with its "dooms day" have anything relevant to say?
