  i'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.

  i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

  i just had a thought inspired by @newboy's recent post:.

  why is it that despite the watchtower corporation being arguably the biggest publishing house in history, having produced billions of tracts, brochures, magazines, books for o very 100 years, and having the largest army of volunteer publicity agents on the planet, that 99% of the population is still clueless as to what their message is all about?.

  if you ask random people what jw's beleive you will rarely get the so-called "good news": gods kingdom is going to soon usher in a paradise earth and fix all the worlds problems under the 1000 year reign of christ.. you will instead get: "they're the people who... 1. don't celebrate christmas or birthdays, 2. don't take blood, 3. go around with the watchtower, 4. have big assemblies... etc etc".

  Yeah, ~15 minutes a year for every baby, human, anywhere, that now lives.For decades now. Wt is very generous, wasteful with the time of it's slaves.

  Not only Langan but Galileo, Darwin, Newton, Einstein and Franklin .

  & Lagrange . They all lived in areas where you have only one harvest a year. time to think, having to hoard supplies.

  yesterday i drove passed a town a couple of hours from my home and saw this kh under construction.

  this is the first new design kh i've seen in washington state even though i would think by now another one or two have been built.

  maybe not with their financial situation being the way it is.

  So is this the new design they came up with? When they revamped the RBC?

  Perhaps in more populous regions, corners, they will have the all-glass entrance, ATM machine look added.

  styrofoam/foam and it's lightweight and easy to move - cost effective. Very toxic to work around and they wear hazmat-protective clothing - face masks.

  Not Knocking wt here. New Scientist or BBC just had an article that has traced the new, treaty violating, secret source of The Ozone destroying chemical to the production of these foams (in China).

  This a great concrete forming material. The soft outer and inner layer stays in place. You can bang your head against the wall without being seriously hurt. In other words try to wake up JWs by the hard facts.

  This must be a joke, one way or the other, true or not.

  wt used to do anything to distinguish themselves from the churches, They still do. While The Churches build spires, this is un inspiring. It does not rain much there, but probably the flat roof has overlapping layers.

  May be this is camouflage, hoping that the 10 king (of revelation) mobs will not recognize them as religious in the final GT attacks.

  would be interesting to hear about the European experiences. it appears that many victims of nazi persecution, Jews in Eastern Europe, conscientious objectors, were not treated as heroes either, although they were supposed to have done the right things, by all counts.

  PBS "Amercian Experience" WW1

  i watched pbs "american experience" 3 part ww1.

  the theme was president w. wilson.

  they dealt with how he was the most religious president ever had, with the highest moral principles.

  what was the 14 point program please I have not heard of that.?

  please do your research, it is probably well hidden, (and will be disputed) but roughly:

  Wilson wanted to squelch future European conflicts and demanded that no frontier adjustment, reparations, penalties would be included in the peace agreement. The fight after all was among related royal families, cousins, blame for the start disputed.

  He was bamboozled by his generous hosts, and heavy penalties, territorial losses, imposed on the losers. Reversing (rightly) the Brest-Litovsk "treaty", for example.

  WW2 was a revenge against the failure to heed Wilson's warnings.

  Similarly, somehow American aid was loosely linked to freeing the colonies (after all, the US was a power that had shaken off a colonial rule). Again there was reluctance to follow the US lead, terrible "end the colonialism" wars had to and were fought in Indochina, Algeria, the Congo, Kenia.

  just my take on these development, having had to suffer through the tail end of it all.
